I loved the book up until after Robin died and Batman went on a crusade to bring him back with the pits. That just seemed way out of character, especially after Jason Todd, and the issues he had with his resurrection. As far as Robin having powers it just seems like he's not even Robin anymore. He might as well just change the name and be just another DC character with powers.
Robin with powers is just a story line.
Let's hope so.

This latest issue was probably the single most fun issue in Tomasi and Gleason's entire run, and the funniest.
So no, not ruined. Especially since the powers wont be permanent.

With thease powers we can enjoy damian going on adventures on his own without his father worrying. Without them a solo book would not be possible. I think when he lose them is when his book will end.
I am assuming batman will be working with bluebird, spoiler and lark for the next couple of years
How does Robin having superpowers make Batman irrelevant when Batman consistently fights with superpowered heroes and usually is the one who gets them out of trouble? Batman > Superpowers.
"The more 'realistic' superheroes become the less believable they are." - David Mazzucchelli
any powers requiring a charge up from darkseid's omega effect is doomed to suffer. i wouldn't be shocked if ol' stone face slipped into damian's head like he did turpin
In the latest issue it plainly shows his powers are not permanent, I bet by the time this series is over with Annual #3 his powers will be gone hence the saddled giant bat friend.
If this was Dick or Tim Robin you may have a point but since its Damian yeah no, letting him just do his own thing would be both un-godly moronic of him and out of character to boot. Hell him letting super powered Dick or Tim Robins out without keeping a very close eye on them would be out of character too. Necessary or not, a 10 year old super assassin with attitude who has super powers is something he can't and clearly won't let go without his super vision regardless of how much it negates the necessity of his existence.

Yup.
I'm guessing either the powers go, or the kid goes. (At least until the powers go... )
Judging from the cover of his book, it looks like the latter will prove to be true.
