I really loved Jupiter Ascending. So did my fellow viewer and a few other friends I later chatted with. I felt it was a pity it did not do very well. Not that I don't love Planetary and Saga.
American Flagg!..the first 12 issues..would make a great movie, or even a mini-series.
Planetary and The Authority would be two more that have super-hero elements, but with that Ellis penchant for hard science fiction.
Transmetropolitan (the first 12 issues of Transmet you can see the influence of Flagg! quite easily, funnily enough) , of course, and another Ellis favorite of mine, Ignition City.
STARLIGHT would make a decent flick. PLANETARY, if done right.
It's how it's adapted. JA had some solid ideas, the tone and the plot were problematic.
