How's the offseason been for you guys? Big acquisitions? Big losses?
Mariners lost Kuma, which is a bummer, but I get why they didn't resign him. I'm not sure how confident I am in the team Dopito's put together, but we'll see how it goes.

Cuddyer retired, so the Mets are short an outfielder
time to sign Cespedes . think about trading Harvey for another bat
Braves brought in an incredible haul for Shelby miller

I was hoping the Mariners would go after Heyward, but they didn't.
Heyward makes the Cubs even more dangerous
Heyward wasn't going to a dud team like the Mariners, he wants to win something
Seattle is where you go to get paid, and not too much else
Right, because the Mariners have never had quality players before...
Yankees picked up Starlin Castro from the Cubs, to solidify the middle infield, and all we had to give up was long reliever Adam Warren and a player to be named later.
My Phillies traded young, up and coming closer Ken Giles to Houston for pitchers Vince Velasquez, Mark Appel, Brett Oberholtzer, Thomas Eshelman and Harold Arauz. Since the Phils have bottomed out and are years away from being competitive again, having a budding elite closer would be a waste, and by the time the team is good again, Giles could well be on the downside. Also, considering how erratic closers can be, trading Giles now when he's on the upside made a lot of sense. I'm down with the trade as the Phils need to rebuild and restock the farm system, and the arms we got back could help the big club sooner rather than later.

Here's a reason to believe the Giants will be in contention for another championship in 2016, beyond the fact they always win the World Series in even numbered years (2010, 2012, 2014):
Cueto, Giants agree on six-year, $130 million deal

Ken Griffey Jr(with the largest voting % of all time) and Mike Piazza will go into the HOF this year
Congrats to both players! Great to finally have a Mariner in the HoF!
congrats to Mike Piazza and Ken Griffey Jr
and who are the 3 jobbers who left Griffey off their ballot?
I didn't think Piazza was gonna make it just yet. Glad to see I was wrong.
