I finished reading an advance copy of James Baretto's debut legal thrill Mystic Wind. Damn good book that I'm going to review for Mystery Scene magazine.

Today I start Cities of the Plain, by Cormac McCarthy, the final instalment in The Border Trilogy

Just finished The Jugger, the sixth Parker book by Donald Westlake/Richard Stark. One thing that has really struck me about this series is how lean these books are. There is no waste. No unnecessary descriptions. No diversions from the plot. These stories are tight and focused and precise. They hit hard and they hit fast. Continuing on to The Seventh.

I'm halfway through Dark Disciple by Christie Golden. Quinlan Vos is pretty cool and should get his own Disney+ show. It's surprisingly passionate for a Star Wars story.

I'll probably get the Rex Sackler one soon.
I did get it, but haven't read it yet.

    Congratulations.

What exactly does an ambassador for a book do?
And do you now live in a book embassy?
