Many also didn't get much support. One I know that I worked with lost her entire family as her wife and kids all rejected her when she transitioned in her 40's. Whereas a teen who transitions probably has a strong family support system, else they wouldn't be transitioning as a teen, and if they are fortunate enough to get hormone blockers as a teen are far more likely to be 100% passable. The one trans female I sort of know (I don't actually know her so much as I know her parents) who transitioned as a teen is completely passable from looks to voice and no one would ever guess if she didn't tell you. Whereas as I said the one I used to work with just looks like a big burly man in a dress as she can't change the fact she's 6'2, has a man's brow and build, and very deep voice.
It's exactly that. She has the whole perfect transition thing which just isn't realistic, although I appreciate that more trans women these days will have transitioned as teenagers.

After watching Good Omens on Amazon Prime, I uploaded the novel on my Kindle, and that's been even more fun!

It created an entire genre of angry children spilling the dirt on their supposedly abusive mothers. After reading Mommie Dearest and watching the movie I don’t think Joan Crawford was that bad. Oh boohoo, your mom spanked you with a wire hanger and yelled at you. Join the club.

I’m thinking of reading My Mother’s Keeper written by Bette Davis’ daughter. Let’s see who had the worst mother

Don't know if this room has any Dresden Files fans , but with the announcement that Peace Talks is done and off to editing, I'm going to be binging the series.
