I remember getting a Gold Key comic book based on the 1969 remake with Peter O'Toole.

That film is not nearly as good, IMO, though O'Toole is always great (when he's not singing, that is ).

Finished Robert Jordan's "Conan the Victorious" yesterday. Also, I'm currently reading "Die Känguru-Apokryphen", the fourth short story collection by anarchist comedian Marc-Uwe Kling about his adventures with his room-mate, the communist kangaroo.
There are many ways to kill. One can stab a knife in your guts; take away your bread; deprive you of the cure for your illness; put you in a miserable housing; torture you to death with work; take you to war; etc.
Only a few of these are prohibited in our country.

Later on today, I'll tackle The Life of Greece (1939), the second volume from The Story of Civilization series by Will and Ariel Durant.

Tomorrow on my Kindle, it will be Have His Carcase (1932), the 7th novel from the Lord Peter Wimsey series by Dorothy L. Sayers.

Just finished the last 13th Doctor novel so far, Combat Magicks. Absolutely awful, especially considering that the other two were good. In fact, technically I didn't finish it, the last 20 minutes or so I just couldn't bring myself to bother with. This book was all over the place... Thankfully, Legacy of Blood was a different story. Probably my favourite Diablo based novel so far!

I thought David Herbert Donald's Lincoln was outstanding, FWIW.
