Just went and put a reserve on it for my Mom at the library. I'm third on the list, and the library lists the book as "On-Order".

I read this in college. For a horror tale that had no precedent set before it, it was quite scary.

Kindle-wise, I'm now reading Raspberry Jam (1920), the eleventh Fleming Stone novel by Carolyn Wells.

I am currently reading FREEDOM AND NECESSITY, by Emma Bull and Steven Brust, a cult novel highly liked by China Mieville and others.

    This passage is amazing.

"In our memories, there is a graveyard where we bury our dead. They all lie together, the loved ones and the ones we hated, friends and foes and kin, with no distinction among them. We have to mourn every one of them, because our memories have made them as much a part of us as our bones or our skin. If we don't, we've no right to remember anything at all."
