What books did everyone get for Christmas?

I got The Autobiography of Mark Twain: Vol. 3 and Harlan Ellison's An Edge in My Voice, among others.

Been reading the Witcher books on my iPad, they're great. I'm most of the way through Sword of Destiny right now.

I just finished Within These Walls by indie horror writer Ania Ahlborn. The ending was f&*^ed up.

I also read the first 5 Dexter books. Given how bad the Dexter show was by the end, I am hoping this will have a more intense ending when I get to the final books. The show doesn't follow the books, not even loosely like Walking Dead, so the story is 100% different after the first book/season.

I just read that. It wasn't the best thing I've read in 20 years, but it was still decent. A good reminder of how easily the world could end overnight, and the things going on in the dark corners of the world that both try to kill us all and those which try to save us all. There are so many small details that, even though it is fiction, it feels something that could've easily happened for real that the public was just never told about.

I just got Gregg Taylor's new Black Jack Justice novel, "Dead Men Run."

Mostly I've been reading (or listening to audiobooks of - not enough hours in the day) classic Edgar Rice Burroughs stuff:

Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar
    Thuvia, Maid of Mars
    The Mad King
    At the Earth's Core

I've read Red dragon (and watched both adaptions) last year and liked them. Silence, too. Those just seemed to hit a nerve back in the day. Hate the Mikkelsen show. Couldn't make it through Big Sleep and currently enjoy Live by night from Dennis Lehane.
