I am Legend. Surprised this was written in the 50s. Thought it was pretty damn good up until the ending.

I read it about ten years ago myself and thought it was quite good, as has been the case with other Richard Matheson stories I have tackled.

Somehow I have found myself in a place where I read books out loud to my wife. We are currently most of the way through Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. I find reading out loud to be a slower process than reading to myself and this book is even slower because it is dialogue heavy and the the characters use olde tyme English but we are both loving the story.

Yeah very different from the movie but surprisingly good. The book also had some short stories in them haven't read them yet.

It's the closest to Vincent Price's The Last Man on Earth, FWIW.

This is the first time I've read it too. It's been years since I've read an "old" book, but this doesn't feel old. It must've been way ahead of it's time. I'm enjoying it.

Rereading A Crown for Cold Silver. I read it a long time ago, but the other two books in the trilogy are now on my shelves, so time to dive back in!

    A massacre is a good topic for a book!^

I have been doing so much reading. The last book I picked up was Peter Pan, but I am reading tons more than that at the moment. I hope this thread can focus my energy in the right area.
