No reason to be ashamed, Enigma. Besides, I have known of the series since the mid-'80s, yet only started reading them a few years ago myself.

Damn these authors, giving us so many good books to read!

I’ve been working on a read/reread of the 87th Precinct myself. Been doing it for a couple years now and am only at book 16 of 55.

On my Kindle tomorrow, I'll begin The Adventures of Captain Horn (1895) by Frank R. Stockton.

It's funny, but the only Wells book I have ever read is the decidedly non-SF novel Ann Veronica. Of course, I have seen countless adaptations of his work (the Gene Barry version of War of the Worlds being the first one 47-something years ago), so it's not like I'm not familiar with him.

My Copy of We are Lost and Found by Helene Dunbar came in a couple of weeks ago. It's a great book and in great quality! It really makes you consider things differently.

    The Darknight Detective:

I got this for Christmas and rather than trying to read the entire thing in one go, I'm going to dip in and out of it in between reading other books. It's a paperback and over 900 pages, so I'm trying my hardest to keep it in good condition lol.

Popped open another Tess Gerritsen book. I love her romantic thrillers when I just want a quick, relaxed read.

Apparently Lee Child has decided to retire from writing his Jack Reacher series. He'll be handing it off to his brother. Article Link

I definitely want to read some Conan comics once I finish the Robert Howard stories. With every story I finish, I find myself Googling the title to find all the cool artwork depicting scenes from it, mostly from various comics. And I dug Busiek's run on Avengers so I can see him handling Conan well. His first Avengers story was a Medieval-type thing so he clearly has a love of the swords and sorcery genre. I finished reading The People Of The Black Circle the other day and that one might be my favorite Conan tale yet, it was twice the length of the ones I've read so far but worth every extra page. Now I'm reading A Witch Shall Be Born and just got to Conan's brutal crucifixion scene. Holy crap, this dude can survive anything.

Very nice! I hope you enjoy it.

I also have a huge collection of Wells books on my Kindle. Eventually I will get to it, but I have so many books to choose from.
