I finished The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King. I thought it was good, and I wish he had more fantasy books.

Tonight I should be finishing Childhood's End by Arthur C Clark. I liked it. I really enjoyed the 1st half of the book, and thought the 2nd half was good but went down hill compared to the 1st.

Next up is Jurassic Park and The Lost World by Micheal Crichton. I enjoy the movies, especially the 1st one, but have never read the books.

I have read all four books you have listed and feel they are definitely worth reading.

When you sit at home comfortably folded up in a chair beside a fire, have you ever thought about what goes on outside there? Probably not. You pick up a book and read about things and stuff, getting a vicarious kick from people and events that never happened. You're doing it now, getting ready to fill in a normal life with the details of someone else's experiences. Fun, isn't it? You read about life on the outside thinking of how maybe you'd like it to happen to you, or at least how you'd like to watch it. Even the old Romans did it, spiced their life with action when they sat in the Coliseum and watched wild animals rip a bunch of humans apart, reveling in the sight of blood and terror . . .

The Arkadians by Lloyd Alexander. Fun little adventure with enjoyable characters. I've always been into Greek mythology so I love how influenced the novel is by those stories.
