1st book in the Great succesful PI Elvis Cole Series.

A great 1st book with Elvis hired to find 2 persons. Elvis Cole is the main character and the Narrator.
I don't understand why he apologizes to a kid because having reread the chapter he doesn't do something that he would have to apologize for.

The 70 Best Horror movies with Killer Animals

A great book that has a self explanatory title. I've been exposed to creature feature movies I haven't heard of.
Beaks it's the schlock version of great movie The Birds except it did change because this movie has a explanation why the birds are attacking humans.
This movie did use real birds so 1 of the more successful ripoffs of The Birds and 1 I'll watch because it might be a decent schlock movie.

The 70 Best Horror movies with Killer Animals

A great book that has a self explanatory title. I've been exposed to creature feature movies I haven't heard of.
Beaks it's the schlock version of great movie The Birds except kt did change because this movie has a explanation why the birds are attacking humans.
This movie did use real birds so 1 of the more successful ripoffs of The Birds and 1 I'll watch because it might be a decent schlock movie.

Going over the list, I have seen almost all of them. Most of them are not what you would call good films in the conventional sense (some not even in the unconventional sense ), but they were fun when I was a kid. Jaws and The Birds are great films and are easily the standouts, of course, while Willard, Them!, and Cujo are fine flicks and worth seeing, IMO.

The paperback edition of the William Christie thriller "A Single Spy" came out earlier this month. Today at the book store I discovered that a line from the review I wrote for the book in Mystery Scene magazine was used in the praise section of the printing.

I’m trying to make my way thru Stephen Kings End of Watch. It’s pretty terrible but last time I tried it inspired me to finish writing my book. So not all bad. Then maybe The Outsider.

The Horror on the Links : The Complete Tales of Jules de Grandin vol. 1 by Seabury Quinn - Really loving this collection of stories by Seabury Quinn. If you're into Sherlock Holmes and the supernatural / occult, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Multiple ones could easily be on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and the riff tracks series.
These aren't great movies in the League of Jaws, The Birds, The Ghost and the Darkness, etc.

Most likely these are movies judged by intentional effort to be a decent or great movie, is the movie entertaining, and does the animal or animals look decent or great.

I imagine that is the criteria for the word Best for this book.

Continuing my horror kick: on my Kindle, I am now reading the short-story collection In a Glass Darkly (1872) by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. It includes the only Le Fanu story I have ever read previously (and arguably his most famous work): Carmilla.
