New Kindle reading today: first the short stories The Ghost Extinguisher* (1905) by Gelett Burgess and A Tale of Negative Gravity (1886) by Frank R. Stockton. After that, I will start the novel Parnassus on Wheels (1917) by Christopher Morley.

    * The creators of Ghostbusters must have read this one.

I have been enjoying McBain's thoughts about each book in the later editions, BTW, as well as his changing vision for the series.
BTW, I finished reading Killer's Choice and will move on to an old Signet paperback copy of Killer's Payoff (which I picked up many years ago) next, but maybe you'll know the answer to this: What comes after Killer's Payoff? I thought Lady Killer was from 1958 and Killer's Wedge was a 1959 title, but I've seen several places that put Killer's Wedge before Lady Killer?

Amazon has Killer's Wedge as #7, so that's the next one I will be reading in the future, FWIW.

Harry Redknapps best football IXs of the century. It was a decent read to be honest.

Tao Te Ching, by Laozi, Lao Tzu or Lao Tze, you pick your favorite way to write that man's name.

Very interesting read. Cornerstone of Taoism of course (or Daoism, same here, pick your favorite), a relatively short read but impressively written in terms of meaning.

Just read it for the very first time this year and enjoyed learning about "the Way."

The Mortal Tally by Sam Sykes, book two of the Bring Down Heaven trilogy, enjoyed this one more than the first, both books are a bit slow to start.

Children of Bone and Blood by Tomi Adeyemi, great world building and characters, frustrating plot developments.

Currently about a third of the way through Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore by Matthew Sullivan.

I was tempted to read Lady Killer first since that one was copyright 1958, but while I own Lady Killer (just received delivery of it yesterday from Barnes & Noble) I had to borrow Killer's Wedge from a library that I don't regularly go to, so I figured I'll get that done so I can return it shortly after I finish reading it.

Depression is a liar - good book but the writing is a little flawed.

Last book I finished was The Harlem Renaissance in the American West. Before that was Aftermath: Empire's End. Now, I'm reading New York and Slavery

    "You're dead!"- Soldier
"You first"- Lightning, Final Fantasy XIII

"Yes, boo, cause this is Calvin Klein and I don't play that ****" - Tanisha

"You look like a fairy princess...that resides over the pits of hell." - New York
