Our share of the Night, by Mariana Enríquez. I didn't know what to expect from this book, and, while well written, I wasn't all that into the story at first. But after the first chapter, I was totally fascinated by Enríquez's writing, the world she built, the characters and the twists. While the story has a clear ending, there are enough open plots as to justify a sequel. I will definitely check it out if she continues the story, and I will check out other previous books by her
