My aunt sent me Mood Indigo by Boris Vian. It's one of those fancy french existential novels.

When I get home tonight, I'll bring up The Altar Steps (the first of a trilogy) by Sir Compton Mackenzie on my Kindle.

Moses: The Chronicles of Harriet Tubman by Balogun Ojetade
In this novel of dark fantasy (with a touch of Steampunk), Harriet Tubman must match wits and power with the sardonic John Wilkes Booth and a team of hunters with powers beyond this world in order to save herself, her teenaged nephew, Ben and a little girl in her care – Margaret. But is anyone who, or what, they seem?
Re-reading all of Laird Barron, dude is hands down the best living horror writer.
Also read Mystery by Peter Straub a couple days back.

I am currently reading When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi.
Hitler, by Ian Kershaw. I figured I should learn more about this fellow given the modern times we live in.
Twin Peaks: the Final Dossier, by Mark Frost. A cool book that clears up some of the confusing parts of the new season.
I've been re-reading Moby Dick because I liked it so much(I did NOT see that coming). I've also started Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.
I'm picking something light for my next book
Starting tomorrow, I'll begin Night Fall by Nelson DeMille (the third John Corey book in that series) and, on my Kindle, Allan's Wife by H. Rider Haggard (from the Allan Quatermain novels, also the third).

Currently reading Roadside Picnic.
Just finished Abaddon's Gate (of the Expanse series) and I'm now starting Cibola Burn. Abaddon's Gate was the third book in the series. The first two books were awesome, this last one started a little slow through the first 4-5 chapters, but then quickly picked up speed. I would rate the first two books as 9/10, with the last one a 7/10. Still very good. My only gripe (and the one that kept it from being an 8/10) was
spoilers:end of spoilers
Bobbie Draper wasn't in the last book at all. How does that happen? She was so awesome in the second book, Caliban's War, and then doesn't make it into the third book? And no Avasarala either. That kind of ticked me off. Especially Bobbie, because she's one of my favorite characters from this series. But she's in the fourth one that I just started, so I'm thrilled about that.

“You had a dream; I have a plan”--Cyclops
“There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.”--The Doctor
Just started on my Kindle today American Football (1891) by "The Father of American Football" - Walter Camp. Since it's on the short side, I'll probably begin tomorrow Maiwa's Revenge (1888), the fourth book in the Allan Quatermain series by H. Rider Haggard.

Do you ladies and gents have any comfort books? I've been mostly reading comics and politics recently so I was yearning for a fantasy novel, so given that there are two that I haven't read yet but do own, I decided to reread The Icemark Chronicles. The Cry of the Icemark was one of my all time favourites as a child and I haven't been feeling good today, but sat here reading it, I don't care if I puke every 10 minutes, I'm pretty happy
