The Truth (With Jokes) by All Franken. By sheer coincidence, this was the next book in my queue. However, Franken wrote it a year before the USO tour in which the alleged incident took place.

book 7 of The Expanse comes out 12/5, I figured what better time to re-read books 1-6. I'm in the middle of book 1 currently, I forgot how good one specific character is. Why'd they have to Ned Stark him!?!?!

Also I've been reading The Sword Of Shannara, book 1 of a very long running fantasy series. If I like it, it will make a massive time sink. So far, I've heard the phrase "Tolkien clone" before, but this is the first time I've really felt that phrase in action. I've only seen the Lord Of The Rings movies so I don;t know Tolkien's literary style, but in terms of story, it's extremely similar. The way fans compare Star Wars 4 and 7 as essentially a remake/rehash, you could make the same argument about this book and Lord Of The Rings. However, it's quite a fun adventure and a cool world with real interesting history, so the Tolkien Clone thing might be working for it rather than against it.

I've been reading this series. I'm currently on book 4 and I love this series. The only thing I didn't like about book 3 was

    spoilers:
Bobbie wasn't in it at all. That was so disappointing. She's one of my favorite characters from this series.

Since it's the Christmas season, I'll be reading any holiday-themed books I can find on my Kindle. The first one is The Christmas Books of Mr. M.A. Titmarsh (1883) by William Makepeace Thackeray.

The Complete Dramatic Works by Samuel Beckett

I don't read plays very often so this should be interesting.

Currently re-reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone after almost 20 years. Still find these books to be wonderful and extremely entertaining.

Since I bought the sequel recently, I'm re-reading The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub after 31 years. It has the distinction of being the first novel I ever bought for my own reading pleasure.

On the Kindle front for Christmas reading, I'm tackling the poem Christmas Eve (1850) by Robert Browning and also Christmas in Ritual and Tradition, Christian and Pagan (1912) by Clement A. Miles.

Indeed. I know what I'll have on my Christmas list for myself now.
