As a Superman fan I couldn't recommend the Greg Pak/Aaron Kuder Action Comics run enough. Most underrated title in publication right now.

Grayson, Batgirl, Gotham by Midnight are all good. Also Batman is kind of a horror comic right now.

I agree with this, I hadn't even considered suggesting it for some reason. But the writing and art on this title is fantastic, its such a fun, sci-fi title with a great supporting cast.

I think I might try reading that one again in TPB in the future so that I get more story all at once. Haven't tried Grayson, but I've never been much for spy stories. I'm willing to make an exception, though.

I just went down to the shop and picked up some Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Secret Six and Multiversity to try (also a TPB of Jack Kirby's OMAC, because I'm a big retro-fan).

In the end, I'll probably only pick one series to follow because I find it hard to get myself down to the shop these days.
Most of the characters got better

However, SPOILERS: One of them got much, much worse.

I think that the best current DC books are the ones that are ending or getting rehauled quite soon: Swamp Thing, Multiversity on one hand, Green Lantern Corps and Batman & Robin on the other.

Other than that, I can only recommend a perennial like Batman and also Sinestro which has turned out to be a very pleasant surprise in terms of quality for me; both of those are quite dark though, each in their own way.

Lots of good DC books at the moment to try.

    My top 5:
    1. JL 3000 (Glad to see it survives Confluence)
    2. Grayson
    3. Action
    4. Justice League
    5. Multiversity

Honorable Mention: Gotham By Midnight, GI Zombie, Detective, Superman, Batman.

Although not current, Batwoman (Williams and Blackman run) and Wonder Woman (Azz run) are good reads as well.
