They're on-record as saying they are going younger with the role. Glover is what, 31? It won't happen. I have no problem with a black Peter Parker, but it isn't going to be Donald Glover, move on.
Unlikely maybe, but hey it would still be cool. Big fan of Glover's comical antics on Community. He's a talented dude! Plus, Spidey having a rapbattle? Maybe with saaaay Kamala Khan if they somehow make her happen? It'd be fun, if unlikely.
All the cool cats are reading CBR's Community Standards & Rules!
Even on Community he looks like a high schooler he could pull it off I mean him and Andrew the same age and he played a high shcooler.
Personally, I'm holding out for Betty White's turn at playing Katie Powers in the Power Pack movie.
Comics have floating reality, meaning Miles will age very very slowly if at all. It'll be about 50 years before someone writes him in his 30's.
And it's just not happening. We do know what'll happen. Both Marvel and Sony are putting out the new Spider-Man film together, and they are seeking a younger actor, high school age to be specific, to play Peter Parker.
I'm a fan of Glover, and while I could care less about Miles Morales I'd love to see Glover get a role in the MCU
I think they should cast a person who actually looks mixed race. Even the real miles morales did not even look mixed race in the comic. He looked pretty straight forward black. If they wanted to go that route they need to find someone that can act well, but looks like that Jermaine Jackson son

I'm not saying cast him, just someone who basically looks brazilian/puerto rican that can act.
That's all true, but that usually implies a mixture of more african than hispanic in the background. In the comics it's clear his father is black and his mother is hispanic. But whatever. They drew him as a black kid which is fine, it just seems like they were trying to check more boxes adding a spanish mix when he was not drawn that way.
This is more of a dual mixture look:

I think that should have been closer to the "look" they drew in the comic if they were actually going for a roughly half and half mixed kid. Not my call of course, but that would have been more novel seeing more people that actually looked more mixed in comics.
Hispanic isn't a racial category and doesn't say anything about a person's makeup outside of coming from a Spanish speaking country. Most Latinos are mixed race people(mainly European, indigenous, and yes, African). They didn't want someone who looked mixed, Bendis was inspired by Donald Glover.
