Um, why are all of these characters tied to racial turmoil?

Because it gives the character as reason to rise up and usher in change.

For the same reason some characters are tied to WW2, Iraq War, their Parent's being killed, or the Nazi Holocaust.

Val Zod is interesting. How about a black super mutant heterosexual male who is part of the X-Men and Avengers. Genesis/Apocalypse is from North Africa, could he be Subsaharan African or a black North African?

A black male mutant with powers like superman on the x men would be nerfed, brainwashed, turned evil, killed, or have his powers absorbed by Rogue. With the avengers he'd have a better chance of surviving.

A black male mutant X-man with cool powers--and not Nerf abilities like healing or absorbing powers...NEVER will HAPPEN!

Haha LOL! Sounds about right. I always liked Bishop though but I'm not sure what happened to him, he started strong and kinda flamed out.

It is weird that the X-men would seem the natural choice to introduce a character like that with their whole "otherness" thing. But no.
