The Orange Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto's Feats

I had to think bit for the name. Not using thread in the title is hard.

Welcome all to my Naruto (the character not the manga) Respect Thread.

Now some info on how the thread is going to be organized. Because Naruto has gone through a lot of changes in the manga as well as getting a lot of different modes, the thread is going to be organized in the following way:

1) Naruto (Base - Pre-Time Skip)

2) Kyuubi Enhanced Naruto (Pre-Time Skip)

3) Naruto (Base - Post Time Skip)

4) Kyuubi Forms (Post Time Skip)

5) Sage Mode Naruto

6) Rikudou/Gold/Whatever Mode

7) Full Kyuubi Mode

In turn, each of these 7 will have:

-Strength

-Durability

-Other (Techniques, standard equipment, etc)


As for speed, see my other thread. I'm lazy to post those scans again...nah, not really. I might actually get around to adding speed someday, but it's not a priority right now.

First of all though ,some background info.

Who is Naruto?

Titular character of the hit manga, Naruto is one of the many ninja of Konoha. What separates him from others is that he is actually the Host of the Nine Tailed Demonic Fox that attacked the Village twelve years ago, which has caused him to lead a rather hard life to say the least. Still, like any Shounen Protagonist, Naruto is determined to change things around and become the leader of his village.

From bratty half pint, to badass ninja, to amateur Messiah Naruto has gone through a lot of changes, so without further ado let's start!

1. Naruto (Base - Pre Time-Skip)





Strength:

Even early in the manga, Naruto shows sign of abnormal strength

As an academy student, he's able to easily leap over what seems to be at least a six foot tall fence.

While under water, he can throw shurikens with enough strength send the flying out of it and through the air.

Much later on in the manga, Naruto stops a giant snake's lips(?) from closing on him.

That would pretty much be it for strength feat. He has a lot of keeping up with people with some super strength as well as other minor stuff, but not much worth posting.

Durability:

During his career as a ninja Naruto has taken hits from people like Lee, Neji and Sasuke.

He gets hit a lot by Neji. Like 64 times (and the guy manages to get up).


The above is important because, well, Sasuke can KO a giant bear.

Lee can put his hand in the ground and drag up the massive roots of a giant tree. On top of being strong enough, to move around all the time while wearing some really really heavy weights.

Neji uses a style called Gentle Fist that deals some heavy internal damage without using strength, but even he can punch someone through a tree, and punch a spider the size of a baby elephant.


Naruto takes a hit from a giant snake summon. Kyuubi chakra kicks in soon after, so it is unknown if he would have fainted or not. However his body does stay in one piece.

While fighting Gaara, Naruto gets blasted by a wind attack:

He also gets hit by his Sand Shuriken attack (note that they are going cleanly through the trees around Naruto).

Later on in the manga, a giant snake falls on his leg. This hurts him a lot but he is able to get back on his feet.


Other:

Standard Equipment: While some ninja do carry special weapons, there are certain items every ninja has.

Kunai
Shuriken
Exploding Tags (the ninja equivalent of grenades)


Techniques: Through the use of chakra ninja have access to a variety of techniques and abilities. Through the first part of the manga, Naruto has learned quite a few uses of chakra.

Tree Walking: Ninja use chakra to stick to solid surfaces, like say Trees.

Water Walking: By putting out a steady steam of chakra through their feat ninja are able to, as the name implies, walk on water.

Henge: A stander ninja technique. Plain and simple transformation.

Naruto shows his skill with henge by revealing he had transformed into a giant shuriken.

Replacement Technique: Like the name says, a ninja somehow replaces himself (or something else) with another object (usually a log) to let said object take the hit.

Naruto shows his first use of Kawamari by replacing Inari with a log before he gets slashed to pieces by Samurai:

Shadow Clones: Naruto's main technique. By dividing his chakra, he is able to create many clones of himself. While the technique is dangerous due to using up too much energy (you have to divide it equally between clones), Naruto is able to use it just fine due to his large reserves.

He can make many clones.

Really lots of them.

His clones are able to use any technique he can, like in the two scans bellow when they use Henge to turn themselves into Team 7+Kabuto:

Anyway, the clones aren't as durable as the real deal and are relatively easy to dispel with a strong enough hit, which isn't to say they are made of paper, as shown when he uses them to blow up a giant snake from the inside after being swallowed, or when one of his clones takes a hit from Negi and manages to stay 'alive' for a few seconds.


Rasengan: Naruto makes his chakra spin in different directions and compresses it into a sphere, creating a chakra grinder/blender.

The earliest show of its power would be when he accidentally strikes a water tank with it. It looks fine at the beginning, but when the back of it is shown...:

Summoning: Having signed the Toad contract, Naruto is one of the few that can call summon Toads and ask their help.

Healing Factor:

One of the perks of having a giant fox demon inside your stomach is that it grants you a nice healing factor. Few moments after Naruto had stabbed his hand with a kunai, Kakashi notes that the wound had already began to heal.

2. Kyuubi Naruto (Pre Time-Skip)



Due to having the Nine Tailed Fox sealed inside of him as a child, Naruto is able to draw upon his power. At the beginning this happened during heightened emotional states, but he has learned to call upon this power willingly. With Kyuubi's chakra, Naruto grows stronger, faster, tougher, etc. The boost depends on how much of Kyuubi's chakra he uses. As he draws more, the fox's chakra will take the shape of a fox-like shroud around him (like the one in the above picture) and even forming tails. He also gains some new abilities because of it.

Strength:

Despite no tails or shroud manifesting, Naruto is still able to kick a giant snake summon with visible effects:

Subsequent strength feats (especially for One Tailed Shroud) revolve around kicking Sasuke's ass while the latter is in Cursed Seal Form, and while fun they are, sadly, not as measurable.

Durability:

A 0 Tails Naruto uses his own body to stop a giant snake's advance (doubles as a strength feat):

Other:

By the way, I am not going to bother posting every jutsu Naruto can do every single time. So yeah, the Base Naruto post is the only one that's going to have water walking, Kage Bunshin and so on. Just assume the techniques in the first post go for all other posts below unless specifically noted.

Sonic Roar: Like the name says, a roar. A powerful one. Possibly boosted by chakra or something.

Naruto first uses it to knock back projectiles thrown by Haku:

Chakra Limbs: When the One Tailed Shroud manifests, Naruto gains the ability to use extending chakra limbs

Kyuubi Enhanced Rasengan: With the extra power of his One Tailed Form, Naruto easily summon a Rasengan

The resulting shockwave... thingy from the collision of that Rasengan and Sasuke's Cursed Seal Level 2 Chidori:

Regeneration: His light healing factor, is turned into outright regeneration when using Kyuubi's chakra.

Sasuke shoves a Chidori through his chest and impales his lung, and Naruto heals from it almost instantly:

3. Naruto (Base - Post Time Skip)



Strength:

Naruto breaks the stone statue holding him, despite having rather poor leverage:

While fighting against the Juubi Minions, he seems to be doing well in baseline. This is particularly noteworthy because at least one of these could tank Sakura's punches.

Durability:

Pain slams Naruto into the ground, creating some visible damage:

Naruto takes a Shinra Tensei from Pain. While Pain is not at 100%, it still has enough power to send several of his clones flying away, as well as Naruto needing plenty of clones to stop the same from happening to him:

Other:

Standard Equipment: In addition to the stuff he carried previously, Naruto has added a few items to his person.

Storage Scroll: Naruto now carries one of these, where he apparently keeps his weapons until they are needed.

Smoke Bombs: Self-explanatory.

Shadow Clones: Not something new, but Naruto's use of his signature technique has changed a little after the time skip. Unlike before, he only rarely summons large amounts of clones like before, instead using only one to four clones at a time.

Here he summons a single clone to pull himself out of harm's way in midair and then changed said clone to a weapon with Henge:

He also takes advantage of the fact that when a Clone dispels all that knowledge goes to the original and other clones around to speed up his training and collect information.

Wind Affinity: After some training Naruto is able to turn his chakra into the wind element.

Narut starts cutting leaves in half, and by the end of the training he is able to, with the help of a lot of Shadow Clones, cut a waterfall in half:

Ideally, learning to use wind chakra should mean that Naruto is able to enhance his weapons with it to make them sharper, however he has yet to show the skill.

Rasengan: Not something new, however his Rasengan appears to have leveled up some.

Oodama Rasengan: Naruto and a clone work together to create a bigger, more powerful Rasegan. He was using a little of Kyuubi's chakra when he used this one, but he should be able to use it one base too, so whatever:

Fuuton - Rasengan: Seen only once or twice (probably because Rasen Shuriken is way better), A Rasengan with wind chakra added to it.

Naruto combines it with Yamato's water technique to create a water tornado to defend against Kakuzu's giant fire attacks:

Fuuton - Rasen Shuriken: The results of his training with the wind element. Naruto is able to fully add the wind element to the Rasengan with destructive results. The move, unfortunately, requires him to use two clones to form and hurts him as well due to being close ranged.

The real power of the move, however, doesn't lie in it leaving a big crater behind. As explained in the next two scans, the move creates tiny (really tiny) wind needles that basically wreck your cells:

Bro-Fist-Telepathy: Okay, so this starts with a comment Sasuke makes at the Valley of End, that first class ninja can read each other's hearts when the clash.

It seems like it is just a comment for the longest time, until Naruto and Sasuke manage to have a full mindscape talk in the middle of Rasengan-Chidori clash.

Then Bee and Naruto start doing it by fist bumping:

4. Kyuubi Naruto (Post Time-Skip)




As you may have noticed, the previous post contains few strength or durability feats for Naruto. There is a reason for that.

Through the Time Skip, Naruto becomes increasingly prone to using Kyuubi's chakra. While before it took a heightened emotional state, now even some anger would cause changes. This is later revealed to be due to the seal weakening.

A consequence of Naruto being able to draw even more of the Kyuubi's chakra is that once his fox shroud hits Four Tails and up, the chakra eventually causes him to change shape into a fox monster(as pictured above).

Strength:

A one tailed Naruto punches Orochimaru. He sends him flying through several trees.

A Four Tailed Naruto is attacked by a wave of snakes. He swings his arm, easily creating a large shockwave which destroys them:

An Eight Tailed Naruto breaks out of Pain's moon with pure raw strength and as seen in some scans below that moon is pretty big (not actually moon sized but big).

Durability:

Naruto, channeling some of Kyuubi's chakra, launches himself at Deidara. He misses and makes a Naruto shaped indentation on the wall. He is largely unaffected by this:

Orochimaru uses the extending sword Kusanagi to try to stab a Four Tailed Naruto. This sword stab basically throws him out of the part of the forest they were fighting in. It doesn't pierce his skin:

A Six Tailed Naruto takes Pain's Shinra Tensei right to the face. Not only does he fully withstand the impact by planting himself to the ground with his tails, he also knocks it back... somehow:

A Six Tailed Naruto is caught by Chibaku Tensei and crushed under many, many tons of rock. Also, note how big Pain's moon is compared to the mountains around it:

Other:

Shadow Clones: Not exactly a new thing, but it is confirmed that any of his clones can draw upon the Kyuubi's chakra. As shown when a clone of his goes one tail right away in the middle of training.


Extending Limbs: Like many of his abilities, these have leveled up in his Four Tailed Form.

Naruto shows his limbs can extend under the ground to attack enemies from below:

His extending limbs can grow extending limbs.

He can even grow another head and torso somehow.


Sonic Roar: As Naruto uses more of Kyuubi's chakra the power behind this move increases greatly.

Kabuto attacks a Three Tailed Naruto, only to be knocked back by the roar, which does a good job of destroying the bridge around them in the process.

The most impressive roar, however, comes from a Four Tailed Naruto as he is about to transform, turning a large area of a forest into a crater:

Corrosive Chakra: In large quantities, Kyuubi chakra can have a corrosive/poison like effect.

Orochimaru's snake starts disintegrating due to contact with Four Tailed Naruto.

Sakura is scratched by a Four Tailed Naruto. Later, she collapses due to this and Yamato notes it is due to the properties of Kyuubi's chakra. More importantly, he says how impressive it is for Naruto to be as well as he is.

Naruto as explained by Jiraya is not immune to this effect.

This is easily seen when he turns Four Tails and Kyuubi's chakra causes his skin to peel off. However, Naruto deals with this effect better than others thanks to his healing factor.

Him being in a cycle of being wounded and regenerating while in that state, could explain why he can withstand his body inflating like a balloon as seen next.


Bijuu Bomb: The strongest weapon of a Tailed Beast. Naruto gathers large amounts of chakra and compresses it into a sphere.

The Kyuubi has a special variant of this move that is first shown with Four Tailed Naruto where he swallows the bomb, then lets it expand inside of him, and finally shoots it as a blast.

Orochimaru summons the gigantic gates of Rashoumon to protect himself from this move. It works but the gates are destroyed in the process:

In his Six Tailed form his half formed Bijuu Bomb blows up creating a sizable explosion (note the Hokage monument on the left):

He also shoots it to Pain's Chibaku Tensei Moon with small results. Not surprising considering Pain's Moon is huge:

5. Sage Mode



Strength:

While still in training, he lifts a giant stone statue.

Naruto takes the Gamabunta sized Rhino's charge head on, grabbing him by the horn (so I guess this doubles as a durability feat), then throws him several hundred feet into the air:

Durability:

Naruto falls and lands violently on very sharp, pointy rocks. He's unharmed:

Other:

Rasengan: Still capable of using the original. Furthermore, he has shown the ability to do it one-handed. It is likely something he can do in normal mode as well now, but since he did it in Sage Mode I am adding it here.

Additionally, the attack seems to have powered up thanks to the presence of Sage Chakra.

Double Rasengan: A.. double Rasengan... yeah.. An attack with a Rasengan in each hand.

Sage Art - Giant Rasengan: Like the name says a giant Rasengan.

Rasen Shuriken: In Sage Mode, Naruto somehow managed to turn Rasen Shuriken into a ranged attack.

As an aside, the blast radius of a Rasen Shuriken can be really big. The wodden spears as shown on panel are around the size of a person. When the Rasen Shuriken exands the look like toothpicks.

Sage Art - Super Sized Rasen Shuriken: Example what the name says. A really big Rasen Shuriken. For reference, you can see Naruto tiny body on top of the giant frog:

Sensing: A side effect of attaining Sage Mode is that it allows Naruto to sense others' chakra as well.

The biggest show of this ability happen when upon turning to Sage Mode he is able to feel the war happening all over the country.

Frog Kata: While in Sage Mode Naruto's body is covered in Natural energy, which increases his reach for attack.

Basically, even if you dodge his body, that doesn't mean you dodged the energy around his body:

Natural Energy: In order to learn Sage Arts, Naruto had to master the art of drawing Natural energy and mixing it with his chakra. For that reason trying to absorb his energy can be, at times, dangerous.

One of the Pain's manages to absorb Naruto's chakra, but once he starts feeding him pure natural energy the Pain turns into a frog statue

Sage Mode Transformation: Okay, so it might seem silly to add this bit in a post about Sage mode, but there are some details that need to be said. Naruto turns into Sage Mode by gathering Natural energy. In order to do that he must be perfectly still, a skill that Naruto masters. However, doing so in the heat of the battle is not as easy.

That said, he has shown the ability to turn into Sage Mode rather quickly when needed.

The Toads




As mentioned previously Naruto can call upon the aid of the Toad Tribe with the use of Summoning. As explained by Jiraya, Summoning is a type of Space-Time Ninjutsu that allows a ninja to call upon the aid of a certain animal after having previously signed the Summoning Scroll of an specific tribe.

Summon show a lot of variation in shape and function from Giant Monster Snake to Tracking Dogs to Illusion Casting Clams (I am not kidding) and so on.

It should be noted a summon doesn't necessarily have to obey the summoner. They may ignore the summoner entirely or they may ask for something in return of their labor, like human sacrifices. Toads, thankfully, are nice and after one has earned their respect the most he can expect is being told he has to share a drink with the boss or being asked for candy by the younger ones.

And speaking of young ones, it is important to note that toads can vary greatly in Size. From little tadpoles to giants like Gamabunta.

The Home of the Toads is Mount Myoboku The mountain is quite far away from Konoha and can take a month to reach by foot. However, the process of getting there is greatly helped by Reverse Summoning, which proves the summoning contract goes both ways. Just as Naruto can summon Toads the Toads can summon Naruto.


Now, some of the more notable Toads in the manga:


The Scroll Holder Toad: Not much is known about this guy, other than being the one with the summoning contract. He is also the First Toad Summoning shown in the manga. Ebisu, a jounin, is easily taken care of by him:

Gamakichi and Gamanatsu: A pair of young brothers, that were accidentally summoned by Naruto in the early days of the manga (back when he hadn't quite gotten the hang of the jutsu just yet). Gamakichi is seen again after the time skip and he has grown quite a bi (He is the orange toad Naruto is standing on in the very first picture of this post)

Toad Shop: Seen only once when Jiraya infiltrated Rain Country. Toad Shop possesses a rather peculiar skill.

He turns into a building:

According to the databook, this weird transformation is a unique skill belonging to Toad Shop. Much like with Gamabunta's Combination Henge (seen below), the summoner can pick out the shape in which Toad Shop transforms, suggesting it may be an advanced form of it.

Gamaken

The Clumsy Toad. A rather modest Toad that has a tendency to apologize for his clumsiness. Despite that, Ken is anything but clumsy, as shown by his rather high speed fight with the multiheaded dog Pain uses:

Ken carries with his what seems to be a gigantic sake cup he uses as a shield. This piece of equipment is quite durable as shown when he uses it to successfully protect himself against the ramming attack of a giant bird summon.

Gamahiro

The Dual Sword-Wielding Toad. Not much has been seen of him, but he fights rather well against Pain's summon in the battle in Konoha.

He also shows great durability when he survives a Shinra Tensei from Pain that literally throws him out of the city (granted that took him out of the fight):

Gamabunta

The leader of the Toads. Grumpy, proud, and protective of those he cares about. Even Jiraya has trouble controlling him.

Ninjutsu: Despite being being a giant toad, Gamabunta has knowledge of the art.

Water Release - Gunshot: After leaping out of the way of Shukaku's Renkuudan (which probably doubles as a speed/agility feat), Bunta shoots giant orbs of water, each of these negating one of Shukaku's Renkuudan:

Oil Cannon: Certain Toads are able to shoot oil. Gamabunta is one of them, and when this is combined with a summoner capable of using fire attacks, results are impressive to say the least:

Combo Henge: Gamabunta is no good at Henge. However with the aid of a Summoner, he can supply the chakra in order for someone else to do the transformation for him. With Naruto's help, he turns into a giant fox:

Durability:

He takes one of Shukaku's Renkuudan and while it hurts him he manages to keep on fighting:

As shown above, he also takes Pain's Shinra Tensei. He is later seen with bandages and saying he has some broken bones from the attack.

Equipment:

Tanto: He carries around one of these. Size appropriate obviously.

He manages to cut one of Shukaku's arms with the blade, but Shukaku's skin is so durable he loses his grip on the blade:

Ma and Pa

An old married couple. Despite their age, Ma and Pa posses a lot of power. In fact, the old toads are some of the few qualified to pas on the Sage Techniques.

Tongue: Ma's tongue, on top of being able to track enemies, has quite a long reach when it comes to capturing foes:

Pressurized Water: A jutsu used by Fusagaku. He shoots a powerful stream of pressurized water able to cut steel and even giant summons:

Hermit's Art - Deep Fryer: Used by both of them with Jiraya. With this technique the user shoots out a wave of boiling hot oil from his or her mouth at the enemy.

Toad Song: A high level genjutsu. This technique is transmitted through sound. Once used, it paralyses the victim rendering him helpless. A downside is that it requires for Ma and Pa to harmonize their voices, which takes a quite a bit of time. That and Ma thinks she's too old to sing.

Sage Mode: Just like Naruto, Ma and Pa can take in Natural energy to create Sage Chakra. Fusagaku shows this when he lifts a giant stone statue despite his small size:

Elder Toad:The oldest and most respected of the Toads. Forgetful and even slightly senile. He does have the ability to see the future.

6. Naruto: Nine-tailed Chakra Mode



After subduing the Kyuubi in an inner battle, Naruto has managed to gain full control over a portion of its chakra. While using this mode, all his stats are substantially boosted on top of a few extra abilities. The downsides that came from using Kyuubi's chakra have (mostly) disappeared.

Strength

Naruto destroys a large block of stone without even trying.

Manages to hold on to Hachibi while he is spinning with so much force he creates a tornado.

Naruto and Bee's Eight Tailed Form, manage to knock Gedo Mazo down.

While nearly out of chakra, Naruto hold the Four Tail's mouth open and later stops its hand from closing on him (Note how Four Tails is judo flipping Hachibi in the first scan).

Durability

Naruto takes a Shinra Tensei from Nagato right to the face, and comes back, unharmed:

Killerbee, Itachi and Naruto combine their attacks to blow up Nagato's Chibaku Tensei, causing a rather big explosion. Now while Naruto is not dead center in it, it is hard to argue he wasn't in the blast range given that Chibaku Tensei was drawing them towards it:

He takes a kick from Han, which is so strong than when Killer Bee (a guy who wrestles giant animals) tries to catch him, he also gets sent flying.

Something that should be noted in the above feats is that due to Naruto having made lots of clones before.He is not at hundred percent of his power.

He is also doing them all on the same day.

Naruto takes Madara's and Tobi's giant fire attack.

Juubi's Big Natural Disaster Attack hits the area, Naruto takes the attack. It knocks him back to baseline but he is still alive:

Techniques

Rasengan: Naruto has made a lot of variations to this trick. Like, a lot of them. I was tempted to have a Rasengan section.

Rasenrangan: With a wave of his hand, he creates many Rasengan, which he then shoots at his opponents using his extending limbs.

RasenKyuugan: Naruto creates a large Rasengan on his back and shoves people into it using his extending limbs. It is unclear whether it has an actual absorbing effect or not.

Mini-Rasenshuriken: What it says on the tin. A small Rasen Shuriken created on his finger tip.

Rasen Shuriken: Still quite capable of using it in this form.

Planetary Rasengan: A large Rasengan with smaller Rasengan "orbiting" around it. This create a powerful drilling effect upon impact:

Shadow Clones: Shortly after getting this form, Naruto is warned that since the Kyuubi drains his chakra while on this form using Kage Bushin could be lethal as it hastens the proves. This doesn't stop him from summoning a bunch of clones.

Energy Interaction:

Naruto is able to grab his soul when Nagato tries to rip it away.

He also grabs and pushes Bee's Bijuu Bomb:

Summoning: Naruto is still capable of summoning the Toads in this form, as shown by the ease with which he summons the giant Gamahiro on top of a group of Zetsu.

Empath: This new mode has allowed him to feel other's emotion. He uses it to detect Kisame when the later was hiding inside of Samehada:

Naruto uses this for combat when after being blinded, he senses the malicious intent of the attack and blocks.

Anti Regeneration: Naruto's chakra seems to mess with the regeneration abilities of Edo-Tensei zombies, a remarkable feat given just how insane said regenerative abilities are.

Naruto Full Bijuu Mode



After befriending Kurama, Naruto gains use of the full might of Kyuubi's chakra. During this mode Naruto can make use of the Tailed Beast Form.

Strength

He is capable of using other Tailed Beasts as blunt weapons. In other words, he can mandhandle creatures his size.

He is capable of pinning down Madara's Incomplete Susanoo and flat out shatters it when combined with all the other beats, proving that the whole destroy mountains with a swing of its tails had something to it.

Durability

He takes Juubi's blast and is only slightly smoked after wards. This is quite impressive considering the Juubi's Laser Beam Blast can go throw several mountains.

When in Sage Mode he gets slammed to the ground by Obito's Chakra Limbs and survives albeit knocked out of Bijuu Mode. Though not shown here, he immediately goes back to it. Considering Obito's chakra limbs have shown the strength to tear a barrier that survive one of Juubi's Bijuu Dama, this is quite impressive.

Partial Manifestation

Naruto can partially manifest parts of Kyuubi's body to attack or defend.

He can use Kyuubi's tails to rip out Obito's Anti-Bijuu Stakes and throw them at Tobi and Madara:

Chakra-Sharing: He is able to grant his chakra to others and give them Kyuubi chakra shrouds.
