To be honest. Everyone is a fan of Spider-Man in their own unique way. But, it would be nice to see a blending of sorts by moving around supporting characters from other parts of the MU and transplanting them into Spider-Man's world and moving some of Spider-Man's unused supporting characters and rogue to other parts of the MU. Just the focusing Spider-Man to his world with all of the usual characters in his world is very boring and predictable.
And the constant focus with making Peter hanging out with superhero kids is boring as well.
I often see people who don't like Slott's run pretending he doesn't like Peter Parker. If that was true, he wouldn't stay on the series. I'm sure he's enough of a big name to work on pretty much what he wants.
McKenstry those with the most opinions often have the fewest facts.

Christopher Yost Cyclops = Awesome and Right, while Xavier = USELESS JERK-O! Viva la Cyclops!
Facts are the enemy of truth.
You gonna get us out of here. With that tight-ass Wolverine outfit on. Now, let's make it happen, *******
YOST: Okay, it's not Jean Grey. Nobody likes her
This is what I don't get Slott whole run has been about how great Peter is. Even when Ock was in Peter body it was bout how Ock couldn't be successful as Spider-man with going to extreme measures to do what Peter did and at the end Ock realized that Peter was the Superior Spider-man.

I was so happy Kaine survived. 10/10 solely for that
Except that he hasn't done a great job with the execution. He keeps TELLING us how awesome Peter is, but he's not really doing so well on SHOWING that. Peter frequently comes across as the least competent/mature character in his own book. Heck he's on the verge of screwing up even the GOOD stuff that Ock did during SSM. "Show don't tell," it's a simple concept that a lot of writers seem to struggle with.
