Miles is a stronger character if he has to follow in Peter's footsteps. Its a core part of the character and his struggles.
So, while I want to see Miles, not before Peter.
We deserve a definitive MCU Peter Parker first, done right by Marvel. The Spider-Man franchise is no going away anytime soon, and Marvel (and Sony) can afford to play the long game here. Imagine the impact of a major death in the MCU, while comic book fans might expect it, the larger movie-going public would be shocked.

    Sorry for this - MacFarlane.

Peter for me, but I say, why either or, why not both?

Have Miles be Spidey, and Peter, Sony, Marvel, all that, and spin-spin-spin off of both.

Or, sure, have a go of Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man India, Spider-Man Manga. Lot of twists, that don't necessarily involve 616, usual 616, or Ultimate.

Can Miles not swing, and have Peter swing too? No death, no retirement, none of that. I and many others get Peter.

Many others get Miles then, too.

Everyone wins, no? Including two actors that get to be Spidey.

The closest they had is with Avengers Disk Wars when Deadpool was guest starred in the episode and he did the pose and said He is the Emissary from Hell! lol

Of course, Peter Parker. For fans who have been waiting YEARS for this to happen you finally get to do it and don't use Peter Parker? Secondly, as purely a marketing, branding issue? Also Peter. Spiderman is a household name and so is Peter Parker. Miles Morales is not. Seriously, despite critical reviews Ultimate Spiderman after Parker died was NOT a huge direct market success. And you know, sometimes change for change's sake doesn't equal more interesting.. Just ask the bulk of the characters created for DC in the One Year Later event. Personally, while the teen angst of the character was still there when Miles came along it wasn't the same. Worried about whether you're going to be bad because your uncle and father were thieves is not the same as carrying the guilt that your lack of responsibility indirectly caused the death of your father figure. The latter is still more interesting. And all the humor and fun went way with Parker as well. The wisecracking wasn't the same or gone altogether.

I hear they're looking for a black Peter Parker which is dumb when they can just use Miles Morales instead of they're choosing a black actor

Having Miles in the MCU before Peter would be like putting Terry McGuinness in the Justice League movie. They're characters about legacy. If Marvel wants to do the diversity thing, just cast a non-white Peter Parker to shut the whiners up.

The catch here is that no character is INTRINSICALLY better than any other, it is how they are written.

Miles comes across as WAY better because he has had the same writer for his entire run and that writer has done a masterful job. Peter has been around much longer and has had great runs and terrible runs. Even now, look at Spider-Verse... who would choose that over the Ultimate book?

Things were so much simpler when it was Peter Parker vs Ben Reilly.

Personally, I'd prefer that MCU do something good with Peter. We had good Spider-man movies with the first and second movies, but never a really good Peter Parker movie.

Then I would like them to move on to Miles. Peter doesn't even need to really die if they want to go Miles. Just have him give it up because he is getting married or something if killing Peter is too traumatic.

I think it's time we made a new Spider-Man, one who is actually a spider this time.

Peter Parker. It's who the fans want to see. Not Peter Parker with Sony, but Peter Parker with Marvel. He fits better within the MCU than Miles. He plays a big role in Civil War. I want to see him become like a son to Tony Stark, but no betrayal.
