Sorry for the dumb question, but how can I put up an Avatar?

^Do you mean custom avatars of your own making? Because I see you're using a CBR Batroc one now.
The custom avatar upload/link window should be available again by now in the 'edit avatar' option. If you know the rules for avatar size limits, you should be good to go.
Take my dreams, childish and weak at the seams
Please don't analyze, please just be there for me

Could consideration be given to the avatar sizes?
Granted 10 years ago 80x80 pixels was par for the course. But now they just look tiny and mostly indistinct.
With the new feel of the place, perhaps more could be done on this?
Nice observation. We shall certainly discuss this and ponder the possibilities.

I thought this would be the thread to bring up my observation that the larger avatars are obscuring the view of text in some areas of the forums.
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!
We're aware of the problem. It's on the to-do list to be fixed, but it may take a while.

For some reason, this avatar I made is blurrier when I actually use it as an avatar but is fine when it's just viewed on my computer.

Here's how it looks when I just view it on my computer:

Have you made sure the file size isn't above the limit? If it's over the site may be making an adjustment and reducing the picture quality.

It's exactly 120 x 120.

Not the avatar size, the file size.

Oh okay, it's 36.4 KB. Any idea how I can lower that, but still keep it 120x120?

I increased the file size limit a bit, give it another try as-is.
