Recent release of the first issue of Legacy has compelled me to go back and re-read from the beginning. Just reminded that Strange Talent #1 was maybe the most perfect debut issue of a series I've ever read. Humor, story, art, pacing, dialogue, characters - all perfect.

I just caught up on the Luther Strode books? Anyone know what all the untranslated Russian said? Or should I not find out and leave myself in the same mindframe as Luther and Petra, like the author recommended?

I coincidentally just started dating someone that speaks Russian so I had her translate for me. I'll try to remember and summarize:

Basically the Gardener thinks Cain sent them at first. Then he sees Delilah and realizes that she is playing some kind of game and believes that Luther is her puppet. She tries to reason with him and calm him down but he only wants to fight and insults Luther as not being that strong. She tells the Gardener that Luther is very useful, you just have to know how to talk to him. That's when she grabs Petra (whom the Gardener keeps calling a little boy) to make Luther think she's in trouble and give his full effort. The rest is pretty much what you see - Gardener doesn't want to listen to what Delilah or Luther have to say, he tries to kill them, Luther tears his heart out. As he's dying he seems to warn Luther that Delilah is trouble and his only using him for her own ends and will kill him. I believe that is the basics of what was going on.

LOL I went and used wikipedia to get the russian alphabet and then google translated the text.

I finally got to read the issue earlier today and man, I don't think I've ever spent that much time on a single issue before haha. But I feel like I (somewhat) successfully managed to translate the Russian parts. Some of them don't really make all that much sense, but you still get the idea.

Number = Russian speech bubble in the reading order.
