So is the guy in the wheelchair going to be her new love interest? Heck she already kissed him.

That looks much better than her actual New 52 costume. I never completely agreed with people who rag on the mini-skirt. I don't think that it's automatically a bad idea. It only becomes problematic when a. artists draw it too short, or b. when they do creepy upskirt shots, or c. both. And it certainly beats the super-diaper that she's currently wearing.

Looks like they are in fact working on a TV show, cool.
Woot!
God, I hope this gets made! Even more so, I hope it's a fun, kickass, and entertaining show with a minimum of angst.
The angst part is negotiable. Angst is part of the teenaged condition, after all. But I just REALLY don't want to see the first three years of New 52 Supergirl as a TV show.

really dumb question, but I just finished reading the latest issue (I know I'm late) I was just wondering
Had Michael appeared before or is this his first appearance?
I was really happy when they kissed because unlike every other time, that scene didn't feel like minority pandering it actually felt natural, so
Is he Supergirls boyfriend?
I don't think that he has.
No. This is the first time we've ever seen Michael.
To me, the kiss just seemed a little off. I mean, Michael has just met this girl and he kisses her out of the blue? He has no idea how she'd respond to that, and he knows she could pop his head like a zit if she wanted to. Kara's reaction also seemed a little strange. She's coming off this big, emotional trauma, and she thinks nothing of this kid just kissing her out of nowhere?
Don't get me wrong, if they start dating, I'll be fine with it. Although I will be more than slightly worried that the relationship will have some serious complications. Dating a superhero isn't exactly safe, and Michael doesn't seem like he has any real chance at protecting himself if Kara's enemies decide to target him. So the relationship stands a good chance of either ending in tragedy, if Kara fails to protect him; ending in heartbreak if Kara eventually breaks up with him to protect him; or being defined by Kara having to constantly protect her new boyfriend.
Still, if Bedard can make it work, I'm cool with the relationship as a concept. Michael's a nice kid, and he'll be great for injecting a little normal life into Kara's world. That, in my mind, is something Kara desperately needs right now.
