If ten years of recording The Young and the Restless for my mother have taught me anything, it's that characters in serial dramas are always happily in love...until they're not

In my mind, an ancient city based in Africa could mean Clark/Bruce following in Luthor's footsteps in the hunt for a 'mysterious rock that came from the skies'. So it's possible that 'kryptonite' wont have anything to do with Krypton, but rather is just named due to how it weakens Kryptonians. (Since it's unlikely any actual bits of Krypton would reach Earth in the next million billion years.)
In some versions of the story, the rocks actually have been traveling through space that long, and Krypton was destroyed in the distant past. Clark's lack of significant aging during the journey to Earth is put down to the relativistic speed of his ship.
In other versions, probably more numerous, the Kryptonite travels to Earth through the space warp that Clark's ship creates to cross the vast distances.

Wonder Woman and Aquaman to be relatives?

WW will have a hot cousin if that is true lol
The article states as if the set on New Mexico is Themyscira, but I think now it's almost 100% certain that it's an african village. So the rumour does not hold truth.
I've always felt that WW and Aquaman should team up more (of all the JL members, they're the ones who have the most in common). Heck one of WW's classic rogues (who should be brought back in a big way imo) is an Atlantean (Queen Clea).
That being said, NO they should NOT be related. That'd be as dumb as making either of them offshoots of the Kryptonians. One of the big appeals of team-ups is that you have DIFFERENT characters from DIFFERENT backgrounds/worlds coming together to fight bigger threats that they cannot handle alone. Trying to connect everything like that is just lame. I don't believe this rumor anymore than I believed the "Amazons are descendants of Kryptonian's one."
If they want to connect the two franchises, then there are other ways to do it. For example, ARGUS is established after the events of Man of Steel and tasked with investigating any potential alien/metahuman/supernatural/etc sightings/reports around the world. Steve Trevor, having previously appeared in the WW movie, shows up in Aquaman to establish that ARGUS is aware of the Atlanteans and is monitoring their activities.

I think it would be cool to set some conection between Amazons and Atlanteans, like some Hippolyta's sister marrying an Atlantean king, and thus Arthur would be a distant relative of Diana.
But they're obviously basing this rumour on Zeus and Poseidon, and that wouldn't be cool.
Why would they spend all that money on an african village? I mean, if that's only for one scene...
The architecture of those buildings reminds me of a mixture between the 2009 DTV Themyscira and the tribalish Azzarello's one.
But you may be right, and I can be wrong too.
Meh.
I'm betting the "WW and Aquaman as relatives" rumor will prove about as accurate as the "Amazons as Kryptonian offshoots" rumor.
Even if it IS true? Meh. It doesn't really change anything at all, so I see no reason to get upset about it. And if this gives us a stronger working relationship/friendship between Diana, Arthur, and Mera? So much the better.

Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
