I have no idea who Arkon is but if Del Mundo is illustrating this book then I am there!

For me, it's really hard to say no to super weird titles like this and M.O.D.O.K., but unfortunately, I can't have everything. However, that Del Mundo art and the fact that the cover reminds me of The Herculoids might be enough to pick this up at the expense of something else. The real secret war is the battle going on in my wallet.

The only reason I know about him (& I don't know all that much) is because he appeared in one episode of the 90's animated X-men cartoon.

I love Del Mundo's art but I simply just don't know enough about the character to invest in this mini.

I'm really interested in this- plus the amazing creative team!

I'm so worried for my wallet now. I suppose I can go without food for a while...

To my knowledge he's a rather noble villain the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men have both battled and aided in the past from another dimension with a Conan like feel to it. So he's pretty much a perfect fit for a series like this.

With these more obscure choices I constantly wonder whether this is showing that Marvel intends to reboot and is doing a nostalgic trip of all its history like DC with Convergence, or is seeking to create a selection of new comics for a new situation with numerous genres and is utilising elements across its past to do so.

I wonder if the Elf/Hobbit characters that were the protagonists of the original Weirdword
    will show up in this?

    Looking forward to this one.

Early on a lot of people guessed it was going to have roots to this obscure Weirdworld series. I know nothing of that old series though it looks like elements at least are incorporated. I never really cared about Arkon at all though this looks he's being retrofitted as a Conan analogue. I'm not so hot on Conan stuff so a pass from me for now.
I make love, you make me sick.

My sentiments exactly. I'll be crying all the way to the comic shop.

Aaron has been awesome on Thor, hopefully he can reach a similar level here. Been partnered with a great artist again with Del Mundo. Great creative team on one of the more original tie ins, definitely interested.

Haha, yours and mine both. I'm going down a collateral damage!

I like Skaar as much as the next guy but he doesn't have a quiver filled with lightning bolts.
