Default How would you reboot -League of Extraordinary Gentlemen- ?

    Recast movie League?
Recast with more accurate comic book league?
Use a whole new League of characters?
    Who would you cast?

    17th Century- Prospero's Men
    18th Century- Gulliver's League
    19th Century- Wilhelmina's First League
    20th Century- Wilhelmina's Second League
    21st Century League?

Back-off This awesome franchise and world building concept, and respect Moore's wishes to not have his work revisited/imagined/continued by others. Even though he's made a career doing exactly that to other's work, in fact that's exactly what LXG is.

Recast the original, stick closer to the source material, and do it as an Amazon streaming mini. Trying to do any of that series in 2 hour blocks probably isn't feasible. Further, if you did a series of streaming minis, you don't have choose which league. If the first one works, bring on the rest.

New cast, more faithful adaptation of the original. That's it.
    I co-host a podcast about comics. Mostly it's X-Men comics of the 90's.

Ask Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill if they would like to be involved, and if yes, get Terry Gilliam on as an executive producer, or even director. Guillermo del Toro would be another good choice.
Just keep Zach Snyder as far away as possible.

You do know that Alan Moore has never supported any adaptations of his work, right?

I would force the director and screenwriters to actually read the source material. I would strap the director into a bomb vest, and at the first whiff of 'Ninja Nemo' that button is getting pushed.

What if the Movie retroactively relaunched to the "original" League-
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Prospero's Men: In Gloriana's Secret service

    Prospero - Jeremy Irons
    Ariel - Emma Watson
    Caliban - Dave Bautista
    Orlando -Cate Blanchet
    Robert Owemuch - Hugh Jackman
    Don Quixote - Javier Bardem
Amber St. Clair - Hayley Atwell
    Christian - Douglas Booth

Or Gulliver's Fellowshipn: the 1780s League

    Lemuel Gulliver - Ian McKellen
Doctor Christopher Syn - Liam Neeson
Sir Percy Blakeney - Tom Hiddleston
Lady Marguerite Blakeney - Marion Cotillard
Natty Bumppo - Daniel Day-Lewis (reprise)

By doing the comic book, more or less exactly as it is. Do Allan and the Sundered Veil as a short silent film that runs before the main feature.

Fox is supposed to be make a tv show of it, although there hasn't been any news I've heard of since 2013.

Can you blame him? They've all been pretty terrible.

I enjoyed Watchmen and V for Vendetta. Even though the latter changed so many things from the comic book.

i liked the movie, never read the comic. i'd be happy with just a sequel to that.
