I really like seeing the Charlton/DC heroes together as a group.
I can only hope DC gives them another chance together.

What would you like in a new solo Blue Beetle series starring Ted Kord?
Me...
1) I'd want Chuck Dixon or Scott Snyder writing the book
2) and Ivan Reis or Phil Jimenez as the artist.
3) Ted Kord, inventor, is head of research and development for his father's company...K.O.R.D. Inc.
4) Tracey from his Charlton days is brought in as Ted's lab assistant and developing girlfriend.
5) Lives in and fights crime in Hub City (with the "Bug" as his means of transportation etc.).
6) Works with Max Fisher, detective of Hub City, on cases from time to time.
6) Villains to fight: The Mad Men, The Calculator, Lady Lunar, Black Spider, Bolt, a criminal origination in Hub City called Squid.

Not bad. I'd go with Gail Simone (she really wanted to do a Kord Beetle book). Or Keith Giffen. Or J.M. DeMatteis.
Again, not bad. But, covers by Kevin Maguire are a must.
Dad's dead. Poor overwhelmed Ted is the CEO now.
Or a combo of Tracey and Melody Case. Or an entirely new character.
I prefer Chicago. I like the idea of a superhero fighting in a city that exists on our Earth, too. Plus, put a good writer on the book and the city of Chicago becomes a "supporting character" in the book.
No problem with this. But, is it Maxwell or Maxine?
I like it, but, throw in some new villians, too.
It's from the Injustice Year One comic. Even though the actual fight was just in a few panels, it's one of the most epic Superman vs Captain Atom brawls I've seen. Cap was actaully able to gain the upper hand up until Wonder Woman arrived. Cap was such a badass in this series.
Agreed.
That's the way Captain Atom should be written, and that's how he should look. Not like Dr. Manhattan.
WHO DAT?!!
the nu 52 version captain atom was a bit off putting. he did became more like dr. manhattan.
i preferred the quantum powered time, steel skinned, time displaced airforce pilot hero. he was powerful enough to go toe to toe with superman, majestic, and apollo.
it got confusing when he became monarch.
Ted Kord coming to JL 3000 as his PRE-NEW 52 Blue Beetle self. Not thrilled he'll be part
of the comedy troop of the "Blue & Gold", but it'll still be good to see Ted Kord back in action
as The Blue Beetle.

Blue Beetle and Peacemaker appear in an issue of Charlton Premiere with Sintistro, Boy Fiend.
Collecting the DC/Charlton heroes in their Charlton comic days....I'll need to add this one to the list. [cameo appearances]

This helmet thankfully never became permanent for Peacemaker.

Peacemaker's ugly helmet, was, IMHO, a serious problem for the character.
