WBTV just debuted the first photos of "Supergirl" star Melissa Benoist in her superhero outfit -- what do you think of the costume?

It's surprisingly old-school. It's basically her comic book costume, just with a slightly longer skirt, her legs are covered, and slightly darker shades of blue and red (there's your MOS influence right there). I wasn't big on them going with the skirt, but the leggings make me more ok with it, they balance out. All in all I like it.

I like it. I was a little surprised that the negative space in the S symbol is blue rather than yellow, but there's still yellow in the outline, so it's not a huge deal, especially when the symbol has been through much more drastic changes that are actually popular(like the Kingdom Come S). Overall, the suit is surprisingly Helen Slaterish, but with red leggings and sort of a Man of Steel color and texture to it all.

I like it a lot actually. It actually reminds me of the suit that Alura wore during NEW KRYPTON, except in Kara's colors.

I actually wouldn't mind this being Kara's future New 52 uniform.

Its a joke, because of the basketball texture also used in every costume now a days.

I thought it was interesting that they did the same thing that they did with the Flash costume and changed the background of the logo's emblem to match the main color of the suit.
