    Let's try keeping this thread for DC-only covers, though I don't mind those aping a DC cover (or visa versa).

    I think the idea of having characters square off against each other in profile was popularized by Carmine Infantino on covers like this one for JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA No. 56, with Anderson inks--
