    Default Favorite George Perez Runs

Same idea as the John Byrne thread started by CliffHanger2....

Reason? IMO Byrne & Perez were THE artists in the 80's at DC & Marvel. My favorites:

    Monthly titles:

    1. New Teen Titans.
    2. Wonder Woman.
    3. Avengers.

    Event titles:

    1. JLA/Avengers.
    2. Original Crisis.
    3. History of the DCU (1986).

His Wonder Woman was not my cup of tea, but I thought his art on the Avengers was solid. His art isn't the most aesthetically pleasing to me due to all of his detail, but I definetley appreciate the craftsmanship. I liked his New 52 run on Superman, which only lasted about two minutes!

COIE is my favorite Perez work. He was in his prime and able to draw such a huge swath of characters

His work on Avengers was great and being paired with Kurt Busiek really made it feel like the Avengers had an A-team of creators. That ongoing would of his is my fave. As far as events, I would go with Hulk:Future Imperfect. I feel like Perez is the only guy that could draw the Maestro's trophy room.

I love him, especially when he's combined with Wolfman. And he created Deathstroke which is a big plus

    1. New Teen Titans
    2. Avengers
    3. COIE
    4. Wonder Woman

His Fantastic Four was among the first superhero comics I eve bought, so that has sentimental value, though not as good as the runs listed above. He did some great Justice League of America issue (I'm referring to the original series) but that was a relatively short and nonconsecutive run, so I didn't count it above.

A toss up between Teen Titans and the original Avengers run for me! Also Crisis of Infinite Earths. However people may feel about that last one it still had some gorgeous art.

JLA, Crisis, and Teen Titans (especially after it went direct; I don't know if it was the improved paper or coloring or George just cut loose more but it suddenly looked much better.)

My favorite Perez run was his Wonder Woman. Loved the artwork (especially the issues inked by Bruce Patterson) and the worldbuilding.
Other high points for me were his collaborations with Wolfman on The Teen Titans (where he was a co-plotter) and the Crisis.

It's a toss up for me between the Titans (with Wolfman) and the Avengers (with Busiek), both are among the best runs of an comic ever, IMO

I think the best thing he's done as writer/artist is Crimson Plague. I'd love to see him return to it at some point.
