Two networks, two versions, two actors. Up for it, indeed.

Any reason you feel this way? Seems a bit pessimistic, but to each their own.
That's a different subject. You were suggesting two versions at once on the small screen. Whether there are licensing arrangements are not, it would just confuse viewers. Both shows would have to deal with the actors being compared to one another, the character interpretations being compared, and one of them is going to come out on the losing end.

Add to that the ancillary things like the League of Assassins, Lazarus Pits, Talia - some of which show up in one show but not the other, some having different stories and abilities than the other....it would be a terrible idea. Batman has a rich enough gallery that Gotham doesn't need to bring a character into it that's already in use elsewhere.

Ah, yes, I'm not disputing that at all. But if it confused people, they'd hopefully get past it, and know this is one Ras', the other is another. What'd complicate things further would be a THIRD Ras', another on the silver screen. Two on the small screen, maybe even on the big screen, or one on each, grand, but past two at once is a bit much.

And, well, could have Ras', and a hardly mentioned League here, or one that's simply done differently to how the one in Arrow is. More like the comics, or less like them, whatever fits the world. And, sure, Nyssa to know and love as his one daughter in Arrow, perhaps Nyssa AND Talia here. Confusing? Perhaps, but perhaps not, especially after a while. And, time enough, hopefully, for a new Talia, after Marion Cotillards'.

I'm not saying it will happen, could be Lady Shiva, or the Court of Owls - could someone explain to me briefly what their story is, please? Secret Gotham society, fought Batman in New 52, composed of Talons... -, or, just one of the many bosses.

Perhaps it wasn't any of the above, but the standard Joe Chill, and not as random as usual, but as precise as, I would say, it looked. Looked less like a robbery, and more like a pretense of one. Very precise with killing Thomas and Martha. Only hesitation, and what makes me question it, is stopping, not killing Bruce. Did they stop, even if ordered? Hesitate? Or, was that the order?

Much less random, and messy like Batman Begins. Makes me question it.

But, until we know, I'm open to most anything, really. Long as Alfred didn't do it, to Reverse-Flash things up, for Bruce becoming Batman, or shaking up the city in the way he knew a Wayne could.

One that'd discomfort me greatly would be Cobblepot, but might make sense. Or, much less.

    Alfred Begins!
(Which I imagine looks pretty well like the kingsman: the secret service trailer, only with Alfred going sod this at the end and becoming a butler).

In terms of age appropriate villains that would work, David Cain? Him training Bruce and then doing a massive heel turn because Gothams corrupt, it'll give him a reason, then getting a smackdown from Alfred and eventually escaping from Blackgate to one day return.

Feels like a season 2 idea that could work, though I would like a season long The Long Halloween at some point as well.

Yes! And, the following day, a new Marvel show, with Agent Carter. What more to be asked for? Lovelier still if Arrow and The Flash return that week too, maybe iZombie beginning the next week, with Constantine.

    Lightbulb Eco-Terrorism: Cantina

All of these comic book adapted television shows and movies makes me think that there is a great new trend of celebrating layman fantasies.

In earlier days of American theater, race-themed black-face paint on Caucasian stage actors prompted debate about the treatment of African-Americans in the USA.

These modern day comic book shows are catalyzing 'street-talk' about the social intrigue surrounding vigilantism hype as it pertains to modern age urbanization.

Vigilantism sentiments were really born during the counter-culture movement in the USA when the fabled Hell's Angels were formed and were idolized by American youth. Prior to that, vigilantism in folklore traces its roots back to the tales of Robin Hood, the wondrous archer in England who stole from the rich and gave to the poor apparently.

I want to see more development of Ivy Pepper (the future Poison Ivy) on "Gotham" (Fox TV) next season. Poison Ivy is Gotham City's most unusual eco-terrorist, and as we know, eco-terrorism is the 'vigilantism-economics' topic for the modern age of consumerism-consciousness urbanization temperance (i.e., Upton Sinclair).

My family can't watch any scenes of Mayor James without picturing Molt from A Bug's Life.

Does that make it better or worse watching?

I think that and Scrubs for this.

    Default Modern Sherlock Holmes?

Clips from next season suggest that "Gotham" (Fox TV) will focus on Arkham Asylum more.

That's a good thing, since, after all, a key aspect of the Batman (DC Comics) mystique is its presentation of urban terror as a form of criminal insanity.

"A new troop of bandits calling themselves the Yellow Hammer Team is encaging street criminals and thugs and using them for food in an act of maniacal vigilantism meant to signify the sanctification of cannibalism for the purposes of punishment. Jim Gordon is very worried, but he believes that if the police can apprehend the members of this ghoulish troop, they will be perfect patients for the developing Arkham Asylum which needs good press."

Such a storyline could persuade fans of Batman (DC Comics) and "Gotham" (Fox TV) that television programs and Hollywood (USA) films about the Dark Knight are satisfyingly connecting the caped crusader stories to the urbanization-paranoia detective storytelling tradition of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes author).

We need more chatter about placing the Dark Knight in the appropriate historical context of crime-journey American storytelling.

They gotta start slow playing the nuts... Escalation is happening opposite here... but the time Batman comes to Gotham, GCPD will be guardian level status with all they have had to deal with before Batman.
