I wasn't sure what to expect from this show but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Solid acting and plot so far.

I presume, though I wouldn't say he's so much an ******* as he is extremely protective of the newly orphaned Bruce, being fully aware that he now stands in loco parentis to Bruce and wanting to keep him away from potential dangers so he doesn't end up like his parents. I can see where that would come off as being an *******, though I'd also say, given the endemic corruption of the Gotham City PD, Alfred has some rationale for being worried about Bruce getting too close to Gordon even if Gordon doesn't have the stink on him yet.
The spider is always on the hunt.
Was that comedian auditioning for a job at Fish's club suppose to have been the Joker by any chance?
Edward Nygma reminds me of Beast from the later X-Men movies.
I liked it a lot.
Except...is the lesson to be learned that Gordon should have just murdered Cobblepot, rather than have him come back even more murderous than before?
I've got to say the pilot episode for Gotham is quite excellent and totally solid. I like how it feels like a cross between comic book and noir crime. I certainly hope that it progresses into the teenage life of Bruce as he begins to become Batman. What I'm really looking forward to is how the friendship and bond between Bruce, Gordon and Selina Kyle grows. Also, Penguin really is my favorite villain.
Great cast, great look, but the dialogue was cringe-worthy. Normally I'm fine with adaptations deviating from the source material, but Gordon is too naive, almost to the point of being unlikable. Alfred with a Cockney accent? Really?
My main complaint with this show is Bruce. I'm just not keen on watching a show about a character BEFORE he gets interesting.
Already 10 minutes in and all I can say is "wow"
It was Ok, a stylized cop show. Not really that good, not that great either.
I Liked that Selina witnessed the Wayne murder (Fuels my Bat/Cat fire) but they kind of blew their load with all the cameos. It was getting to the point where someone would call for Pizza and Victor Zsaz would deliver it. Gotham has a pretty dense population for that many coincidences.
Also is the Joker supposed to be that old in relation to Bruce...?
At the end though this was very well written in comparison to the awful -awwwful- Constantine pilot, I think I would have enjoyed it even it wasn't DC related, and that's the highest thing I can say about this kind of shows.

Really? That's refreshingly clever. Like a nice story within a story. ''One of this 5 (or whatever the number is) guys will become a horrible disfigured mass murderer''. I hope it goes somewhere, though, as in this different origins have some kind of plot progression whithin them, or else it would become pointlessly repetitive.
