And people wonder why nobody wants to associate with the comic book community. I thought it's been obvious. Constant whining and death threats because their diapers need to be changed.

Cameron Stewart basically has sided with those who wanted the cover gone.

While I really dislike this cover for bringing back terrible memories of such a terrible book, it is just as deplorable to make with threats of violence over a comic book cover.
Thats a shame. So what, now Batgirl is without a variant for the month?
So much for fighting censorship and those who make threats over that which they don't agree with. Je suis Charlie...
Marvel Pull - Fantastic Four, The Immortal Hulk
DC Pull - The Green Lantern, Goddess Mode
Indie Pull - The Wrong Earth, High Heaven
Aside from some dumb, sarcastic comments, the conversation in here has been going OK. A reminder to keep it civil and discuss the issue. No personal attacks. Keep the histrionics out of it. Or you'll find your comments deleted and possibly banned.
My ongoing Twitter discussion with Cameron continues.

I'm thinking Cameron had a role in having the cover pulled.
Great. Another win for people who haven't got a clue as to the meaning of a variant cover.
This is such horse pucky! The guy gets threatened and harassed on twitter to the point that he has to self censor. I hope those spineless twerps sleep well knowing that an artist just got in trouble for doing his passion. It wasn't sexual and it wasn't celebrating violence. It was an homage to a comic book classic. I am so disgusted. I'm more upset with Rafael Albuquerque that he didn't dig his heels in and say F you. I think I've just lost all hope for comics and art in general. That a few crybabies can get something taken away simply because they don't like it. Now they know they have power. I blame Bleeding Cool News for trying to start a controversy.
As I mentioned in Twitter: Albuquerque probably received the death threats from the same people who are supposedly against such things.
Hipocresy at its worst. I can't believe they're not making a scandal about this.
Oh well, life goes on. New comics come out on Wednesday
Good. The cover depicts a superhero who is not shown as someone trying to fight back against her captor, but as a victim. If she was shown struggling, looking angry or desperate, it would have made a huge difference.
Goes without saying that we need to articulate our points without resorting to attacks, name-calling or belligerent snark - please be cool, people.
IMPORTANT: To that end I want to avoid the term SJW here: it's reductive and antagonistically loaded. Further use will be deleted and potentially result in lashings and/or exile.
Carry on
