    WHERE?

San Francisco during the final battle of Godzilla vs MUTOs in the 2014 Godzilla film. It is night-time, we have three giant monsters throwing down, soldiers are running all over the place like headless chickens and lots of civilians are praying very hard in the hopes of being spared.

Lots of confusion, low visibility, low luminosity and plenty of potential collateral damage for hero types to worry about means that San Francisco is a fairly good place

    MCBT Strategy
Upon descending into San Francisco, the battle between Godzilla and the MUTOs has already gone underway just as the soldiers are skydiving toward the city.

Sailor Moon, Black Widow, She-Hulk, Sailor Jupiter, Vin, Red Sonja, Storm, Medusa and Gamora arrive with their abilities and weapons in tow to see Sailor Galaxi, Sailor Chibi Moon, Jade, Criti Noll, Selene, Demona, Viper, Mantis and Titania with their own weapons and abilities.

Sailor Moon is shocked and distraught that her own future daughter has been mind controlled again much to the confusion of her teammates. After some explanation, Black Widow and She-Hulk tell her to stay in the game and promise to bring her back to normal but in the mean time, they have to fight the opposing team to bring her back.

The fight is on with Sailor Moon taking on Galaxia head on. Which I imagine could have them be even in match in terms of power. Both are likely to cause more collateral damage after throwing each other. Sailor Moon will probably not use the more powerful attacks to kill
her and try to see some good in her but in the meantime will use regular energy blasts from Mjolnir to attack her with Galaxia likely to fire back. Sailor Moon however will create a barrier around her herself to prevent Galaxia from making powerful blows to her as well as redirect any blast from her opponent.

In the end upon seeing the fight between Jupiter and Chibi Moon from afar, she ultimately has no choice; she uses the God Blast to take down Galaxia-at least down for the count.

Sailor Jupiter in the meanwhile would take on Sailor Chibi Moon who has the Carnage symbiote on her side. The Venom symbiote can detect its own offspring so Jupiter has an advantage. To prevent any of the tendrils from getting to her, she'd use either the Flower Hurricane or Jupiter Oak Evolution attacks. With the former, she'd be given enough time to sneak attack on her. She'd use also hand to hand combat but not too much to injure, just a few punches to knock her out. However given Chibi Moon will use energy shields, Jupiter will have no choice but to use the Supreme Thunder attack to remote her unconscious completely.

The only thing they'd have to worry about are military officers trying to shoot at them deeming them a threat with Jupiter trying to stop Chibi Moon from killing them. Water assists Jupiter in this fight.

Vin will take on Criti Noll. For the sake of argument, Vin ingests a few of the debris from random buildings that are currently being destroyed to draw power from and burn into energy. Vin uses Rictor's powers to cause an earthquake. But also uses M's abilities like
superspeed to match up with Noll. Given Noll's weapon of choice she equipped herself with, Vin ultimately uses her powers of hypnosis to get her under control. Should it work, she'd command Noll to assist Vin's teammates in fighting their opponents.

But should it not, Vin would likely throw dozens of whatever ferrous metal is there but mostly use all of M's abilities to the extreme.

Storm takes on Selene with the Hollow Symbiote that increases her mutant abilities. I imagine Selene will throw most of her enhanced abilities just as Storm unleashes a tornado to combat her. However the sheer power increased by the Hollow symbiote might result in more casualties Storm needs to be aware of. Perhaps Storm will simply unleash a small hurricane to throw Selene off track. Air of the Elementals of Doom assists Storm in this battle.

Black Widow will provide as an reinforcement to Storm given she has her abilities as well. That and distract her with her other abilities.

Medusa and Red Sonja will take on both Demona and Jade. Medusa will utilize her prehensile hair to combat them both at first before she utilizes the powers of Anubis on Jade reverting her to an infant. Likely Demona will use the penance stare on Red Sonja but Medusa will intervene by progressing the gargoyle into an elder form.

Black Widow will solo Viper. Now with the intent of using every ability of the Lady Liberators but also her skills in hand to hand combat. She will use pretty much a lot of the Invisible Woman's abilities against the Kryptonian powered ants before unleashing a wave to push back them and toward Viper. The only catch being that they're both inside the MUTO nest and they encounter an angry mother.

Natasha then uses gusts of wind and creates a minitornado before throwing her toward one of the damaged buildings. Water assists Natasha in this battle.

Gamora takes on Titania while She-Hulk goes up against Mantis. Gamora utilizes the superspeed in an attempt to tire out Titania from chasing whilst using Captain Marvel's Kree abilities as well using flight to combat Titania's use of the Songbird Harness. Likely, they'll find themselves near Godzilla when the flying MUTO attacks him. She will utilize Justice's telekinesis to push Titania toward the incoming building Godzilla whacks the flying MUTO with his tail.

She-Hulk has already unleashed the personified Elementals of Doom and sends Air, Water and Fire to assist the others should they need help. While Earth stays to assist She-Hulk. Should She-Hulk find himself getting tossed around by Mantis, She-Hulk will use him as a diversion while she attempts to strategize to defeat her. To do so, she creates a tremor stomping on the concrete to distract her and jump kicks her directly in the face as the finishing touch and even throwing a random vehicle on top of her.

    Estrecca Strategy

FAST AND FURIOUS - Criti Noll vs Gamora

Here we have two speedsters with one-hit-kill weapons, so a clash between them is pretty much a given and what an interesting clash it is. Speed is equal, Gamora has the advantage in skill, ranged attacks and can turn herself into lightning, while Criti Noll has the advantage in reactions (thanks to the enhanced reflexes of the Black Panther), can make herself a more powerful brick (through stacking of growth and density increase) and can go intangible. It looks to a large extent like a flip-a-coin situation, but since playing fair is for suckers...

As soon as the fight starts, Criti Noll is gonna start running at full speed towards the enemy team, enlarging to the maximum extent possible, which should increase her running speed big time (if she is Quicksilver fast when man sized, she should move 15 times faster when fully grown thanks to the bigger steps, even if reactions remain the same). At the start, she'll be as dense as possible and smash through small obstructions in the way, which should result in lots of dust and hypervelocity debris being launched towards the enemy team's starting location.

Upon reaching the mid-way point, Criti Noll will pick a course of action depending on what moves Gamora makes. If she is advancing against my team, Criti Noll will try to intercept and keep her designated foe away from the slow members of the team, using intangibility as needed to avoid being wounded by Godslayer (I am not sure about the specifics of that blade, so I am playing it safe), but if she is defending the other members of Hippolyta's Soldiers, Criti Noll will trample them and deal some death with the Shardblade. In any case, keeping Gamora busy and liberal usage of defensive intangibility are her go-to tactics at this point

HAMMERTIME - Sailor Galaxia vs Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon with Mjolnir is not a foe that Galaxia can win against, even with one of the hammers of the Worthy. She can put up a fight, she can make her work for it and she can probably even make her bleed for it, but Galaxia cannot win this on her own. What she can do, particularly in this kind of environment, is keep her too busy to assist the rest of her team. Galaxia already used combat teleportation to great effect in SM canon, so we'll go with this here.

The plan is that once Galaxia has Usagi's undivided attention, she'll start teleporting around like a grasshopper on crack, taking attacks of opportunity against any enemies who happen to be near her, staying away from her allies and generally doing her best to avoid being pinned down, until she has some heavy duty backup to take the fight to Sailor Moon. Of course, if Usagi gets distracted (tries to go after Chibiusa, heal/revive an ally or something along those lines) or if she stops to unleash some kind of big crystal/hammer trick, she is getting a mallet to the head (from behind) and an attempt to rip out her starseed on general principle.

THE SIDESHOW - Sailor Chibi-Moon vs Sailor Jupiter

In no particular order, Chibi-Moon is more powerful than any of the Inner Senshi, Carnage is way more powerful than Venom (and is a living blindspot for Venom's spider sense, to boot), Jupiter has no fire attacks and Chibi-Moon has sonic attacks (which are terribad for Venom, not too big a problem for Carnage). It is pretty much a given how this one is going to end.

As a result, the plan for this specific match-up involves Chibiusa 1) teleporting behind the enemy team, 2) unleashing her Supersonic Waves (which should leave Makoto/Venom reeling) and 3) teleporting away (dragging Jupiter along for the ride). After taking Jupiter to a safe-ish spot, some distance away from any likely source of help, Chibiusa/Carnage will keep up the sonic attacks and murderize with extreme prejudice the Venom symbiote. If possible, Jupiter will either be put under the control of a Carnage duplicate (if he can still do those) or simply mind-controlled into obedience, before Chibi-Moon and friends go help Galaxia fight Sailor Mom. If mind control is impossible, Carnage will default to plan B, which is messy, much closer to his preferences and remarkably poor for Makoto's life expectancy.

QUEENS OF DARKNESS, QUEENS OF DEATH - Jade Chan vs Medusa

Jade will start by shadow-porting herself and Selene to some random San Francisco basement, sufficiently far away from the giant monsters to be somewhat safe, before unleashing an attack upon the team's enemies. Because Jade is Jade, even if she is also the Queen of the Shadowkhan, this means that Hippolyta's Soldiers are getting swarmed by an horde of Teenage Mutant Ninja Darklings (and Shadowkhan if she can make them, and random fire-breathing dinosaurs, and anything else that her degenerate young mind comes up with after looking at Godzilla and the MUTOs). Once again, because Jade is Jade, expect these shadow creatures to filch all enemy items that aren't nailed down (like, say, the Dog Talisman or the Talismans of Power). The shadow queen demands teh loot.

At the same time, however, Jade will be using the mental powers of the Cobra Crown against Medusa. Not sure where her willpower feats stand, but the Powers of Anubis don't boost her there (indeed, the wrongness of tampering with the powers of Death might have left her rattled, like it happened to the Emir in Gargoyles canon) and this is a fairly powerful telepathic attack (and this doesn't even consider the unpleasantness that the Darkness is going to add to the whole thing). At worst, Medusa should be too busy keeping Jade out of her head to leverage her other powers against my team, while the more likely scenarios feature a mind controlled Medusa turning her allies into centenarians with osteoporosis or babies.

THE BLACK GODDESSES - Selene vs Storm

Selene will first use her powers to fortify and block easy access to the location Jade takes them to.

Afterwards, she'll use astral projection to find her target, Storm, and use the strongest banishment spell she knows to send the Hollow back to its resting place. In addition to her own vastly powerful evil magic, she has access to some of the Halliwell's good magic through their blood, which all things considered should more or less do the trick.

After getting rid of the Hollow, Selene will try to mind control Storm (likely to fail: Ororo is notoriously hardened against telepathy) and, if that fails, freeze her molecules and dine on her tasty, tasty lifeforce. The same kind of tactics will be followed when she moves on against other members of HS.

THE CHOSEN ONES - Mantis vs Vin

Mantis will engage Vin and try to force her into a purely mental battle, forcing the skaa to use so much concentration that she won't be able to freely use her other powersets. Even with a ripoff of the powers of M, Vin is going to be a comparative novice, so Mantis should be able to at least keep her adequately busy. If the mental assault fails (for whatever reason), Mantis will default to close quarters combat, using her precog, bullshit level martial arts and Darksoul powers to get around any attempt of Vin's to keep her far away.

IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED... - Titania vs She-Hulk

In general, Titania will fly up on wings of song... and try not to lose too badly against Jenny, in spite of all precedent. The airspace is probably a bit crowded here and perhaps unsafe, if the other members of the team fail in their tasks, but with She-Hulk as her target, Titania will initially focus on those elemental critters that Jenny can summon, seeing that at least the wind elemental can probably reach her, so she'll try to crush the summoning talismans with some kind of construct before things get bad.

After the elementals go poof, she'll enjoy the high ground blasting She-Hulk with impunity from above, using constructs as needed to stay out of her reach and using ultrasonics to calm down She-Hulk, assuming that she can figure out those (bit of a long shot, because Titania is no Songbird, but...).

SWARMING TACTICS VS AREA DENIAL - Viper vs Black Widow

Viper will teleport to some random place in the general area, further away from the monsters than the starting position, and empower with the orange kryptonite as many ants as it is possible to empower. Afterwards, she'll send forth most of her horde of stronger-than-JLU-kryptonians ants (but keep some around for her personal protection) to tear apart the enemy gals, with something of a specific focus in the Black Widow. If they encounter shields, the ants will try to burrow under them, and invisibility probably won't be as effective against lifeforms that primarily use scent to track stuff.

BLINK AND YOU MISS - Demona vs Red Sonja

This is a match-up determined on the basis that Demona and Red Sonja kind of look like each other, but is easily the most lopsided part of this whole thing. Regardless, Demona will move at best possible speed towards the enemy redhead, whom she'll defeat by burning the sin out of her (not a good thing), superior strength and fighting experience, hellfire or anything along these lines. Once Red Sonja is beaten, Demona will move on, picking up the talisman of Shendu, if it hasn't been taken previously.

    ANYTHING ELSE?

    Usual disclaimers and contingencies apply.

For a priority list... assume that once done with their primary goals, the members of Hippolyta's Doom will attack the active enemies with the smaller credit values. This should eventually end in everyone dogpiling Sailor Moon.

Well, early feeling is advantage to Estrecca.

On a basic level, strategy is way more in depth has contingencies and has a priority list.

Like the hit and run strategy for Galaxia, it's also kind of a hard counter for Usagi attempting to use the godblast since she can just teleport in behind her and lay into her with impunity.

Also, I am highly dubious on the notion of the Invisible Woman's powerset being sufficient enough to deal with a swarm of kryptonian ants.

    Pretty much the same:
    1. Contingencies disclaimers are very important in League match, as is the priority list.
    2. Hit and run is perfectly viable tactics against Sailor Moon/
    3. LOVE the combo of dark sorceress (Selene) + Power of Charmed Ones. Makes me guess why this combo is soo underused in League.

Not much time, so for the time being I'll only point a few specific mistakes.

    1) How are random military officers supposed to be a threat of any kind to any of the Senshi, either in manga or anime continuities?
    2) How is water supposed to be an advantage to Jupiter?

I am not sure if this is about allomancy or one of the copied Skrull powersets, but if it is allomancy this is a great way for Vin to kill herself. Composition is critical to metal burning and ingesting random metal is called out as insanely dangerous.

Storm takes on Selene with the Hollow Symbiote that increases her mutant abilities. I imagine Selene will throw most of her enhanced abilities just as Storm unleashes a tornado to combat her.
    Hmmm...

I am not sure if you know exactly how the Hollow works. I'd only write something like what you describe if I wanted to depower Selene and empower Storm for whatever reason, which is obviously not the case outside some particularly out-there strategies that I could have followed.

Likely Demona will use the penance stare on Red Sonja but Medusa will intervene by progressing the gargoyle into an elder form.
Ignoring the Ghost Rider and all that, I'd like to point that it is something straight from canon that this is not crippling to gargoyles, to the extent that it would in humans.

I don't quite understand how the Hollow would increase mutant abilities.

    - Mostly due to Chibi Moon potentially killing bystanders. That was my thought at the time. And I also thought perhaps utilizing her lightning based attacks would knock her out.

    - Okay, I may have gotten that backwards it seems, sorry. Still new to Mistborn.

    - Point taken there. Been a while since I saw Charmed.

    - Okay, point taken there. Admittedly, I didn't think for a moment something's a miss.

Mm. Seems like Estrecca has this on lock.

the Hollow Symbiote definitely doesn't boost abilities, though. It also seems like MCBT's strat has some errors as far as implementation of attacks. Will hold off on voting until there's more back and forth between the two combatants. But currently in Estrecca's camp.
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

The Hollow can give Storm a boost, but it would require draining Magic from new items or from foes during the match.

Estrecca does have the bases covered here and counters MCBT's characters here pretty well, but 'standard contingencies' can mean pretty much anything.
