Comedy scenes where women beat up men

what do you think of scenes like this in comics and films? I don't feel MRA style outrage, but I think scenes like this are regressive, because the implication (in my opinion) is that they are funny because women are weak in real life. Like how home alone was funny because a child couldn't trap robbers really.

I wasn't really outraged by the link you posted. Plus it's not about women beating up men, it is about the man being sent to the psychiatrist, despite the women being the violent one. It's more irony than sexism. The woman beating him up isn't the funny part. Or at least that's my interpretation after reading that.

Plus, Home Alone isn't funny because a kid couldn't really beat up criminals. It's mildly terrifying that a kid did beat up those criminals. Especially considering how an 8 Year old managed to rig that house up with traps with the strategic mind of Rambo, Batman and a Horror Movie Villain. Plus the fact that said 8 Year old Maniac probably traumatised those criminals for life. Kevin is definitely the villain of that movie.

Yeah, home alone was such a funny film. I'm never sure how to take it. Superman - Lois and Clark had lots of joke scenes where Teri Hatcher punched men and they fell unconscious, I thought it was funny because she looks so fragile. If those scenes are spunky revenge against the sad reality of male violence, fair enough. I can't imagine that cartoon being popular on deviant art if the genders were swapped.

Whenever I think of a woman beating a man up , I think of the scenes in Norbit weirdly. Where the big woman beat the little guy played by Eddie Murphy up a lot.
