It seems clear that you can read a book about something and not become that thing. I mean, reading Lolita never created a pedophile. And it's not even (apparently) the author agreeing with Hitler or Stalin, just examining them as important people in the early 20th Century. I'm highly doubtful that it actually supports any of the views of those characters. It actually sounds like a fascinating book. It has quite a high rating on review sites, too.
