Default What was your first Spider-Man comic?

To answer my own question, I really don't remember. Much of my childhood is just a really vague mess. It might have been something from the 80's or 90's. It might have been Spider-Man #26, that really holographic one. But I'm sure most of you remember your first Spidey comic much more vividly, so what was your first?

My first exposure to Spider-Man as a character was the 1994 Spider-Man TV show and I fell instantly in love with the character and the comic book world. But, the first Spidey book I read was (I think) Amazing Spider-man #449 in 1999 where it said Spidey is going to die on the cover. So many memories though....

    August 1994 issue

Shortly after this, got some Spider-Man Megazine, Classics, and some back issues from early 90s I found in comic book stores, and continued on with all ongoing titles shortly after this issue.

My first Spider-man comic was issue #127. If I recall the splash page is MJ tumbling to her doom after being dropped by the Vulture this was just a few issues after the infamous Death of Gwen Stacy. I still have my copy torn and frayed as it is. Pretty much since then I have been a fan although I stopped reading in the 80s circa Secret Wars. I did try to dive back in around 2007 but it just wasn't the same.

    My first spiderman?

I'm not sure but it might've been Ben Reilly. My first exposure was a fight between Ben and Kaine (I don't remember which issue and I own it lol).

I don't quite remember, but it was one of the Spider-Man magazines aimed at young kids. My local supermarket had run out of them, so I wrote a letter asking if they could get one for me and they kindly ordered one for me. However, I don't think I wanted it because of Spider-Man. I think there was a competition to win a PS1 in there.

Amazing Spider-Man 252 in 1984, damn I sure wish I had saved most of those comics from the 1980s'. Alas I was a typical kid at the time and enjoyed reading them far too much.
