    RIP Jerrold Samuels, May 3 1938 – March 10, 2023. He was the man behind the classic novelty pop record They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha-Haa as Napoleon XIV. Samuels also wrote "The Shelter of Your Arms", a top 20 hit for Sammy Davis Jr. in 1964.

    RIP to Gordon Moore, of Microsoft, at age old, of old things. No more doubling of computer performance every two years for you now! Yes, he also did that.

    Also, RIP to the son of a stage legend, Andrew Lloyd Webber. His son Nicolas died at age 43 of gastric cancer. Very sad, my condolences to Mr. Webber.

    I visited his restaurant chain a few times in California, Philippines and especially Taiwan.

    Din Tai Fung's Xiao Long Bao, steamed Chinese soup dumplings often made with pork, were some of the tastiest dumplings I get to eat.

    Seymour Stein record executive passed away of cancer over the weekend. Co-founder of Sire Records, Stein is known for signing a number of influential artists ( Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, The Smiths, Madonna, etc) as well as coining the term "New Wave".
