Legendary director Stanley Donen, a "giant of the Hollywood musical" whose works include "Singing in the Rein", "Funny Face", has passed away at age 94. He was once directed a music video for Lionel Richie, "Dancing on the Ceiling" which an homage to his own scene with Fred Astaire dancing on the ceiling in "Royal Wedding" . Donen started out as a dancer himself and at age 16 he was in "Pal Joey" on Broadway with Gene Kelley.

Would not have guessed he was still living. He outlived the cast of Singing in the Rain. Was a great musical director.

One quick thought about Peter Tork passing...

While it's always going to be really sad to see someone pass, those guys were touring/making solid records up until quite recently. Glad that the guy got to have such a long run of decent health along with being really bummed that he is gone.

Beverley Owen, best known for playing the original Marilyn Munster on season 1 of The Munsters, has died. She was 81.
Her costar Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster, announced the news on Facebook on Sunday, writing: “Beautiful Beverly Owen has left us. What a sweet soul. I had the biggest crush on her. RIP Bev and thanks for your 13 memorable Marilyn Munster episodes.”
Owen’s daughter also confirmed the news, telling TMZ that the actress died surrounded by friends and family at her home in Vermont on Feb. 21 after battling ovarian cancer.
Owen was reportedly diagnosed in January 2017 and had kept it private.

Mr. Donen directed my favorite musical (yes, that one), bar none. I'm pretty sure I have seen the rest of his catalog and enjoyed the vast majority of it, too.

Though she wasn't my favorite Marilyn as a kid (my first crush Pat Priest was), I grew to like her a lot and thought she was the better actress of the two in retrospect.

I thought she was already dead.

I remember her doing Coach & Everybody Loves Raymond and I thought she died in the early 2000s. I didn't see nor hear about her in anything else.

I think I got her mixed up with Ann Nelson from Fame. She was in the last episode of Growing Pains and she died in 92.
