Hi, I won't mince words on this: I was a queer kid raised in a household who loved Billy Graham. Billy Graham was an evil, horrible, hateful man who celebrated the deaths of queer people.

Just read that a couple of minutes ago. I am not familiar with his work. I just watched the Theory of Everything movie within the last couple of months.

The fact that Hawking lived as long as he did given his condition is noteworthy enough, even without his accomplishments.

    RIP to Sir Ken Dodd.

I will always remember the laughs and the hair and the teeth.

He married his partner for 40 years just two days before his passing

And, this morning, Stephen Hawking - a major advocate for the NHS, and who helped change the world (and our understanding) in so many ways.

    As he said:

The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.

We're seeing that (globally) more and more every day.

He also made several appearances on The Big Bang Theory. Apparently it was one of his favorite shows. Hey, it's a show about physicists. Of course he would like it.

Apparently, he was only in 7 episodes. Seemed like more (not including mentions/name-dropping).

    Hawking died on Einstein's birthday.

    That's just perfect.

One of the greatest minds of our or indeed any time. RIP Stephen Hawking.

Sadly, today in the UK we also lost comedian and host of UK cult TV game show 'Bullseye'. RIP Jim Bowen, born in Cheshire but a fellow lifelong Lancashire lad.
