    Sad news, Dragon Ball grew into such an iconic piece of pop culture. I think for many folks of my generation, it was the first introduction to 'proper', more mature anime. Rest in peace.

    Man, I didn't even know he was still around. I figured he would have been in his hundreds. It's weird to think he was about a decade younger than I am now when I started watching him in the late '70s. At any rate, he was one of the last no-nonsense news anchors that I first encountered during the late '60s/early '70s before the "happy talk" guys took over.
