As someone who was part of Sesame Street's first class back in 1969 (not to mention a huge fan of the earlier Bozo's Big Top that he was also part of), this is a very sad day for me.

Hum, no one posted this yet about René Auberjonois. When I was a teen and Star Trek Deep Space Nine first came on I recognized him immediately as the guy from Benson, even under all that make up amazingly enough (It was the same with Brent Spiner too actually, he was the guy from Nigh Court). Anyway, I remember being amazed by his role as Odo on DS9 and I was like Now THATS a GOOD actor. RIP.

rene was also a very prolific VA.

to my knowledge, he's the only person who's acted on "super friends" the 80s superman cartoon, BTAS, STAS, "justice league", and "young justice". he's been a part of animated DC cartoons for over 4 decades.

This really makes me sad. I loved Rene on DS9 and Boston Legal. I knew he did some voice work with DC and was always thrilled when I heard him. He is the kind of actor that made everyone around him better. I will miss him.
Favorite teams. Avengers, West Coast Avengers, Justice Society of America, Legion of Superheroes.

Robert Walker, Jr. has passed. Son of legends, great character actor.

Danny Aiello, actor who excelled as blue-collar heavies and hotheads, dies at 86

Danny Aiello, a late-blooming actor who memorably portrayed blue-collar heavies and hotheads in films such as “The Godfather: Part II,” “The Purple Rose of Cairo” and “Do the Right Thing,” and who played against type as a middle-aged mama’s boy in “Moonstruck,” died Dec. 12 at a hospital in New Jersey. He was 86.

I especially remember him from Jacobs Ladder opposite Tim Robbins. It wasn't a large role but his acting made me feel emotion because he was so good at playing this caring doctor going the extra mile. He was funny too in it, breaking Tim Robbins out of a psychiatric ward for vets. RIP.

The first time I ever saw him was on the commercials for the Broadway play Gemini back in the early '70s ("It's gonna be some party!") My favorite role of his? Believe it or not, it was on Tales from the Darkside where he plays a gambler who bets the Devil his soul he lives beyond his appointed checkout time. It amazed me at the time to see a great actor like him on a cheap (but oh so fun!) show giving an award-caliber performance.
