H-L-H have to rank with Lennon and McCartney as the most popular songwriters of their generation. Favorite song? Maybe I Can't Help Myself, but it's really hard to choose among all of their gems.

Couldn’t agree more. HLH put Motown on the map with their truckload of hits.

    It's H-D-H. not H-L-H.

After they left Motown, they started their own record labels, like Invictus. The hits were fewer, but still happening. Like this one by Freda Payne.

Boy, revisting those days of listening to great music on your car radio. Olivia Newton-John and HDH ....R.I.P

And now the author of the Snow Man? That is my one of my favorite Christmas cartoons along with the Grinch narrated by Boris Karloff. The Snow Man used to be broadcast annually too IIRC but luckily you can find it on YouTube.

    Sempé is gone.

That time was a little while ago, apparently. Reports are she's died. Sad.

Sad indeed. Admittedly, the only thing I had seen her in was the movie Volcano with Tommy Lee Jones from 1996.
