20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was first time I remember seeing Kirk Douglas on the big screen when I was a kid. I was captivated.

Years later I discovered his work in Lust for Life, where he portrayed Vincent van Gogh. Once again I was captivated.

Rest in peace, Kirk Douglas. And thank for the fantastic cinema memories.

I didnt know that was Douglas in final countdown. I loved that movie. And they did try and stop Pearl harbor. They launched planes but the time portal appeared again and they had to recall them.

She is an inspiration to many and a big reason we put men on the moon.

I'll post what I typed for the Books thread from the Community forum:

One of my favorites, going all the way back to the late '70s when Raise the Titanic was a newspaper comic strip (I read the Dirk Pitt-starring book a few years later in high school). In recent years, I have been reading his turn-of-the-last-century-set Isaac Bell novels and have one in my reading pile to go through sometime this year.

    RIP

RIP Joe, I love your store and shop there weekly.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
