The former England football manager Graham Taylor has died aged 72.

His spell as England coach didn't go well and Taylor endured a pretty prolonged period of ridicule afterwards, especially from the media. In reality though he was a thoroughly decent and knowledgeable football man.

    RIP

Thats sad. I spent quite a few years over in London during my childhood and people there are really passionate about their football/soccer. I've even heard it said that the England football managers job is considered to be the most important job in the country after the Prime Ministers. I think it was said jokingly but still it shows how seriously sport and football especially,is viewed over there.

Mimi ain't that intelligent as word had it she blew off practice for the show, leading in part to what happened that night.

That was one of the scariest books I've ever read. That and Steven King's Salem's Lot.

I never read the book (I have read all of King's work, FWIW), but the movie is definitely one of the most scary I have ever seen. The new show is not bad, either.

Same here 40 years ago, though my favorite was Andre the Giant.
