Such an icon. I have really enjoyed every single Reitman-directed film and right off hand I can't think of another director like that for me. RIP

    R.I.P. P.J.O'R.

NOTE: WTF?!? I originally typed that with caps, but it comes out with lower-case letters?

Had to re-do with the caps lock on.

Yeah, not many on the right among the comedians who can actually make me laugh but he was one of them. Like the few others (Dennis Miller, Adam Carolla, ?) he was sort of left-wing first before becoming older/more cynical but still kept the sense of humor.

    Dallas Good...

Maybe not a household name, but someone who lived a noteworthy life. Never mind that I've never heard anyone say so much as one bad word about the guy.

Shame that more folks won't get to know the man, and that he is gone too soon.

    From Rolling Stone's website,
Dallas Good, singer, guitarist, and founding member of the Canadian garage-country-rock band the Sadies, died Thursday at the age of 48. His death was confirmed by Andrew Colvin, the Sadies’ longtime agent; no cause of death was given. As one of the lead singers of the Sadies, alongside his brother Travis Good, Dallas Good spent roughly 25 years releasing influential, critically revered records and touring as a member of the band.

“It’s with unfathomable sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dallas on Thursday, February 17th,” the band wrote in a statement. “Forty-eight years old, he died of natural causes while under doctor’s care for a coronary illness discovered earlier this week.”

Here's a local mystery gone tragic, as a missing local actress who appeared on various TV shows, was found dead on a corner. I'm not familiar with her, but it was one of those things where you hope she's okay, only to find that your first instinct, that she's dead, was right. Very sad.

RIP to her. No cause of death has yet been identified. She was in her 40s.

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

By the way, is there a thread about the war here?

She co-starred with Gary Lockwood in the "second" pilot for Star Trek, after the powers-that-be had passed on the original pilot ("The Cage"). This second pilot, "Where No Man Has Gone Before", aired as the third broadcast episode of the show.
