Barbara Gibb, mother of the Bee Gees, dies aged 95

Bee Gees, one of my favorite music groups from the 1970's/1980's. Shame that she had to see three of her children die before her. That can't be easy on any parent.

Loved him from the time I first saw him as Willy Wonka back in the '70s.

That's a hard one for me, loved him in everything. Including Quackster Fortune and Haunted Honeymoon.

From Willy Wonka, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles and many other films, Gene Wilder was fantastic. Rest in peace, sir.

Mr. Fuji of pro wrestling fame dies at 82

World Wrestling Entertainment says the former star wrestler and manager Harry Fujiwara, better known as Mr. Fuji, has died at age 82. An obituary posted on WWE's website Sunday said Fujiwara died that morning. The obituary doesn't say where he died or list a cause of death. The WWE hasn't responded to a request for comment from The Associated Press.

Fujiwara starred as a tag team champion in the ring before shifting into a bad guy manager role in the 1980s. "Magnificent" Don Muraco, Yokozuna and George "The Animal" Steele were among those he managed. He was known for his trademark tactic of throwing salt into the eyes of opponents.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
Given the nature of that article, I hope this might be some sort of a mistake.

Kinda strange the brothers dying in reverse from youngest upwards. Now oldest brother, Barry is the only one left.

Strange and very sad. They all went far too young.

And yesterday was his 70th birthday.

WP Kinsella, author of Shoeless Joe, the inspiration for the movie Field of Dreams, passed away at 81. hell of a writer and following the death of playwrite Edward Albee. A sad week for literature.
