Why did he have to do it?

This would mean no more future Linkin Park albums. Huhuhu.

    My favorite rock band...

    Rest in peace Chester.

Always liked him. First film I saw him in was Cat People (I saw -a lot of - Nastassja Kinski in that one, too! ). Even saw him in Beaches when it came out (yes, I was in love ).

Me too! Though in Cat People, I thought his character was mean to poor Annette O'Toole.

Just to be clear, I meant the reason I went to see Beaches was that I was in love with my girlfriend at the time. Not the typical flick I would have checked out on my own (though, I have to admit, it wasn't bad).

As for your last comment, yeah, he could have been a might nicer to her.

The greatest female voice actor, if not the greatest regardless of gender, of them all.

We can sadly add another great to the list of Voice actors/directors to the list along with June.

Famed Voice director for many animated series of the 70s, 80s, and 90s,

    Mr. Walley Burr

Passed on July 9th. He was known for being a perfectionist and trained a number of other well known directors.

Not sure if this was mentioned already.

Suit actor Haruo Nakajima, who played Godzilla in eleven films from 1954 to 1972, has passed away at the age of 88 years. Aside from giving us Godzilla, he also appeared in monster roles in movies like "Rodan", "Varan the Unbelievable", "Mothra", "Frankenstein Conquers the World", and "King Kong Escapes", as well as in many episodes of the classic TV series "Ultra Q", "Ultraman", and "UltraSeven".

I posted this only minutes ago on the All Things Godzilla thread:

He was Godzilla for my parents' generation and a few after that, too. Those films were ubiquitous on television during the '70s when my brothers and I were kids and we just ate it up.

Two talented people that played a role in my childhood: June Foray and Haruo Nakajima. I was too young to pay attention to the actor the voices on "Rocky and Bullwinkle" or "Dudley Doright" and the man in the suit playing Godzilla. RIP and thanks for entertaining me and an audience of millions over the years

The original Godzilla suit weighed 220 lbs and got so hot you couldn't touch the exterior when the stage lights were on(rubber was rare in Japan at the time so they had to use ready mix concrete), Nakajima was an iron man of an actor

I'm old enough to recall his old television program, which my parents watched. Great performer, especially on guitar (which he didn't use much on his more pop stuff, unfortunately ). The earliest song of his that I remember is Bonaparte's Retreat, which was a big country hit in '73.
